Game is incredible, devs listen to community feedback and are constantly updating it. Each update adds refreshing new content that isn't just more of the same like most live service games, from gamemodes to weapons to enemies, everything has a unique visual identity without each category being overpopulated.

Game performed well until I was through with the tutorial, then I dipped from 120 FPS average to below 50 with incredibly bad stuttering at 1440p. My system is a Ryzen 5800X, RTX 3090 and 32GB of DDR4-3600 CL16 RAM. Raytracing did not impact my performance whatsoever, so something's wrong and performance is being limited by something else because RT should have a big impact.

I love Arkane, I want to support them. But this is unacceptable for top of the line hardware to perform so poorly on an *okay* looking game. I'll consider re-purchasing the game if these issues are fixed.

Please help. I have 30 hours in this game and I bought it two days ago. I need to do schoolwork.

Game was a wild ride. Hoping CDPR does well with the DLC.

In its current state DOOM Eternal has a lot of issues that start with a cluttered UI and jarring cutscenes even before you kill all the enemies in an area and extremely jarring tutorials that pull you out of the game every time you pick up a weapon. (Come on I'd, you're veterans of this industry, you should know how to integrate a tutorial into the levels) The way DOOM 2016 handled weapons and pickups was a lot more satisfying than DOOM Eternal so far, not to mention some of the silly sound effects on getting a headshot and borderline cartoony gore that feels much less visceral than the previous game.

Hopefully some of these issues get fixed, I realize the game has just launched and hopefully we'll see some improvement in the coming weeks.


After playing several hours I've started to have a lot of fun, but my initial gripes about the jarring tutorials, cutscenes and forced story still remain.

Game is 10/10, but Marty Stratton trying to destroy Mick Gordon's reputation is disgustingly unprofessional. Gordon's work is top tier and the way they jerked him around is awful. Good work on sealing the deal that I'll never buy another id product as long as Stratton is in charge.

I thought it was a sim, I was wrong. It's just a polished arcade game.

If you want an arcadey flight game then go ahead, not my thing though.

The new CTF mode is actually pretty fun. A larger scale with vehicles would be neat, I'm hoping they kill the Battle Royale aspect of this game and focus on more team based stuff as well as reintroducing the 3 factions.

How ridiculous would 3 way CTF be?

Edit 3: Game finally works with some minor bugs! My favourite childhood game is back!

It's great to play this again, honestly.
