I'm glad I did not refund this game.

At my first gameplay, I did not enjoy it a bit. I was beating up the town drunk and LOST. Dude is probably Anderson Silva or someshit.

This game is really challenging and will probably make you feel really frustrated at first like I did. The combat is very unforgiving, but unique. It's satisfying but frustrating at the same time, and will make you think of the strategy you'll do first before engaging. It's not smart to handle 5 bandits. If you have to, it'll be risky.

Alchemy is what I got addicted to besides combat. It makes me feel like I'm really a medieval peasant. Perks help along the way, but the fact you have to boil, grind, and distill. Collecting herbs for a certain recipe you need is immersive since herbs are not over the place, and you have to know where they grow naturally. (or buy them from Nicodemus).

Some downsides that I can see is the questing bugs, certain quests have bugs that won't update objectives or will miss objectives break progression. I hate looking at wikis and will have you resort to that instead.

Ignoring that, this is the most immersive and fun I’ve had with a game, along with RDR2 and Skyrim. The level of detail in the world makes it feel truly alive. How every NPC has it's own routine, down from the environment and landscape. Every choice you make has weight, whether it's a conversation, a fight, or even the Rattay tourney. The progression is incredibly rewarding, knowing that Henry is one hell of a wimp, especially when you go from barely being able to swing a sword properly to mastering combat techniques.

The role-playing, combined with the challenge and realism, makes it one of the most engaging experiences I’ve ever had in gaming.
