An oldie, but a classic that's stood the test of time. Captain Walker's descent into madness is perpetuated by the persuasive narrative of, "Doing Right." Flipping the common tropes of good beats evil, right on its head. The line becomes so very muddied, so very quickly.

There are no heroes in Spec Ops: The Line. This game seeks something greater than that tired plot thread, and instead looks to show you how awful people with good intentions can really be. It stresses the potential damage of needing to always do right, to atone for past mistakes, even at the cost of others.

Hell's a road paved with good intentions, after all.

A good villain doesn't necessarily realize they're one. No game proves this better than Spec Ops: The Line. Sometimes, the situation is so bleak, all we can do is try our very best. And sometimes, our best turns us into the very thing we sought to dismantle.

Easily one of the best narratives I've experienced. The story alone is worth going through the game several times over.
