something happened in the past month that is causing this game to essentially be broken.

doesn't launch unless you click .exe in windows explorer.

crashes frequently with error dialog box "game data failed to read, verify game files" - when just prior to launching the game the files were verified.

hard lock pc forcing restart.

locking so bad it causes black screen, windows profiles error dialog to appear, stating "windows profile cannot be loaded"

locking so bad it causes black screen and pressing "ctrl-alt-del" bring error dialog box up stating, "ctrl-alt-del cannot be opened."

I have never experienced so many insane crashes and locks and on a game that is known to perform VERY well on AMD hardware.

its pretty insane how bad it is.
