I enlisted because;
One night when I was 12 years old, I had awoken from a horrific nightmare around 2am. It was so terrifying that I had to leave my bedroom and go sit in an armchair in my family’s living room. I did this to console myself and reinforce that the nightmare wasn’t real. As I began to calm down, slow my breathing and wipe away the single tear from my face, a cockroach came out from under the armchair and tickled the back of my right ankle. I jumped from the armchair some 20 feet across the living room. Reality then became my living nightmare! Since then, I have had an irrational fear of cockroaches.

A few years later, the movie Wall-E had come to theaters. I enjoyed the movie so much that I ran out to the local toy store and spent all my money on the Wall-E robot. I rushed it home and immediately unboxed it. I was so excited; it was my first RC toy. It was then that I discovered the controller it came with would only allow the toy to go forwards and turn to the right. It could not go backwards. You had to turn it right 180 degrees and then go forward to return it to where it to where came from. To make a left you had to turn it to the right 270 degrees. You also could not have it go forward and right at the same time, you had to stop the robot to make the right turn. You also had to move the arms manually! I was devastated!

So, for me….

This war…

IS PERSONAL!

I became a Helldiver, to squish bugs and hammer robots with democracy!

In the pod five by five, go, go, go, lets burn!

Finally, 100%!
I would recommend this game if you were just leisurely playing. I’ve found this game very relaxing after coming home from work. I enjoy gliding over the plains and mountains.
However, a few weeks ago I decided to complete everything in the game. I discovered the hard way that there is a save file issue and no steam cloud backup. I had gotten to 79% completion when I accidentally dropped my controller on the start screen clicking start new game. The new game deletes your save file. So, I had to start over. That’s when I learned to back up my save files manually. I would go on to discover that if the Square Enix servers fail to login when the game starts can also delete your save file. But luckily I had backups.

Early Access Review
After level 71 the game can become unplayable... if there are to many mines and projectiles bouncing off walls. I found myself playing to the games flaws more so than using the games strategy to win.

With that being said though, this game is very interesting. I love the amount of strategy one can put into a play through. do i want to dash all over the screen? Do I want to be a stationary turret and max out my DPS? The CARDS! The cards are amazing! So many good game play mechanics.

This game is really good.

Obviously it is in early access and i hate leaving a negative review for an early access game. With the game becoming unplayable in levels 71+ I would not recommend. I wonder if making fewer projectiles or new abilities in late game would improve performance. Mines/projectiles could be fewer but bigger and do more damage. Mines/barrages could be turned into lasers that clear screen or just do a singe massive explosion.

I wish games like this were not a lonely computer nerd cliché. The sexual subject matter is over the top, at sometimes ridiculous and pure male fantasy. Sexual subject matter, when written well can be powerful in a narrative. In the Netflix series the Witcher, when Yennifer has sex with another wizard in front of a projection of a group of people, her desire to be “witnessed” underlines her insecurity about her self-image. In Game of Thrones, we are introduced to sex workers from a demonized outside perspective but when they are humanized, we find that they are victimized and have personal issues like the rest of the world they live in. We learn that sex can be a currency and a source of manipulation.
Game suffers from poor writing, “HyperCard” style gameplay, and the puzzles are the most enjoyable part.

I personally really enjoyed this one, highly recommend. Yes, it is short. However, you get what you give. If you are someone who will replay a game over and over to get the best play through, Its worth the $20. If you are just going to play it, one and done, it is not. At the time of my review, I’m halfway through my second playthrough and I’m noticing how much easier it is knowing the game mechanics. So, in my second playthrough I’m playing around more with how I play.

It’s not enough to just shoot everyone. I must counter, swipe up in the air, hit 3 times midair, pull out pistol shoot someone in the head and finish with a ground slam. There is where the “oh wow” factor comes in!
I can see myself speed running this.
I hope that this will be the prelude to something grander. Like what Demon Souls was to dark souls.

I have tried for many years to finish Dark Souls 2. There is something about this game that bores me out of my mind. I have beaten 1 and 3 several times on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. But something about this one… I just can’t get motivated to finish it. No-Man’s Wharf is as far as I have gone. ☹ Maybe someday if I lock myself in a room ill be able to complete this one.

This game was not on my radar. I had bought it because one of my younger children had wanted it. So, one day I’m bored and around 1:00pm I loaded the game. Then out of no where it was 5:00am the next day. “Oh, I F-ed Up!” This game Is addicting, and you will lose vast amounts of time playing it.

100% Yes buy this game. So, I was hesitant to buy this game, and waited for it to go on sale. Borderlands was a great game. New ideas. New game play. New experience. As a gamer though by the time I got to borderlands 3, I didn’t care about the story or the game play. I only cared about getting loot and having the best stats. The story was not engaging, and I didn’t care about the game. However Tiny Tina's Wonderlands brought back that love of the game. The story is so engaging that I want to maximize my experience in every aspect of this game. I am ashamed for not buying this sooner.

I would recommend if you were a fan of the comics, or of past games.
However, this game is short.
If you cut out the “go find me” side missions, there are only a few hours of story game play here. I started this game wondering, am I going to get to fight venom, or carnage, maybe the green goblin? Nope!
In the previous game we got to fight, Doctor Octavius, Vulture, Shockwave, Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, and several more.
In this game we get to fight Rhino and Rhino 2.0. A holographic fight with Vulture (same fight from the last spider-man game) There are also 2 other villains introduced that you fight, I don’t want to give away due to spoilers. They are nowhere near close to a proper Spider-Man villain. I love the Miles Morales Spider-man. It just sucks that he didn’t get to have any epoch fights in this game.
This feels like it should have been DLC for the previous Spider-Man game.
