tl;dr: Final Fantasy XV rocks. Episode Ardyn DLC is highly recommended.

This PC Version of FFXV is one of the best Final Fantasy games to date.
When I started playing, I did not think I would ever like the four guys on their "roadtrip".
About half way through the chapters, a feeling came up in me - the one that says
"I do not ever want this to end".

The characters and their backgrounds seem very well thought out. The voice acting is superb.

There is also a lot of fan service in this game: There are sexy girls and cool guys. There are chocobos and a moogle. A carbuncle to "discover". There are characters you will love and some you will get annoyed by.
There are cutscenes and battles that are looking like a movie. You feel proud after winning. You try again after losing. Then, you "unleash" all powers you have collected or watch a summon destroy the whole battlefield - as a last resort.

Some players say they were "just pressing one button", which means they did not really try out what the gameplay allowed them to do. There is far more to it than just pressing the attack key [if you wanted to].

Now, after finishing the main storyline, reaching level 99 (100 on Noctis) and finishing most of the "endgame" stuff, I still get goosebumps everytime I see the Ifrit scene. This is what I play for.
Thank you for "finally" finishing the game and polishing it this far, Square Enix.

There is a lot of endgame content (without any DLC requirements) and some things seem impossible to do, but I will keep trying... just so i can see the characters and hear their comments again.

A few years later, most of the DLCs have been released (while Luna did not get her background explained more, sadly, so she stays bland) and I must say that I am glad i also played through the Episodes of Noctis' friends, as well as one of the best villains in any RPG: Ardyn.

In 2018 I was playing with a decent setup and Nvidia Geforce 1060 Ti, but I had to disable all (!) four "special" Nvidia graphics effects, so the game did not crash randomly (Vsync and other options do not matter). This was a bit annoying. If you have to disable Nvidia options to keep the game running (for >100 hours), then you realize it's a bad compromise, because the game could look far better. It looks awesome in some spots, e.g. in cities. The only Nvidia thing I *could* use without problems has nothing to do with the options: Nvidia Ansel for the perfect screenshot...

In 2021, using an AMD graphics card (6600 XT) works just fine.
