Rewriting my previously negative review as of the latest update, which fixed the near-countless game-breaking bugs my friends and I were experiencing.

Armello is one of the more enjoyable virtual TTRPGs. (Tabletop Roleplaying Game). The wide variety of characters allows many different playstyles, from tricksters to beatdown. There's also multiple ways to win, which allows even someone near the bottom to rise up to the top through a lucky streak. However, despite the enjoyable back-and-forth of some matches, this game is not perfect. That's not a bad thing! Nothing is perfect, after all.

Pros:
- Many playstyles possible for players, with different characters, powers, cards, and win conditions.
- Beautiful art style and soundtrack
- DICE DICE DICE DICE DICE DICE THEY SHINE THEY CLACKY CLACK DICE DICE DICE (No, seriously, there are a TON of dice in this game)
- With luck, anyone can come back from the bottom of the swamp.
- No voice chat or in-game chat! (Aside from preset lines). Toxicity is very heavily decreased due to this.
- A relatively small, but dedicated playerbase.
- Easy to understand rules, anyone can pick up and play. Tutorial included.
- Relatively friendly (but competitive) playerbase. Most will be happy to teach you the ropes, but some won't show mercy in a game.

Cons:
- Powercreep in DLC. Some DLC characters are objectively more powerful than the base ones. Fortunately, the DLC is omegacheap when the game is on sale.
- Some annoying bugs still exist. Eg: Sometimes, the game will lag for no reason, but so far, there hasn't been anything that broke the game entirely.
- Unbalanced Matchmaking. I get matched against newbies all the time, and because of that, I have to go easy on them, or choose to crush them and feel guilty.
- Grind is bad. You have to play over 20 winning games as a single character just to have them reach Mastery 10. With over 20 characters to choose from, and each game taking about 45 minutes, that's hundreds of hours to grind. You also gain no player rank upon a loss when playing in a private match with friends. You only gain stars on win.
- No way against teaming. 3 people are allowed to group and bully a random into the ground. There's a feature in the game to "Avoid parties" to try and dodge this, but I have been told it does not work.

Armello continues to remain one of my favorite games to play of all time with friends. The charming art style, atmosphere, simple gameplay, and rng either kicking you in the face or blessing you like it came from above keeps me playing. Well, that, and the dice.

I have all the dice. That can be earned normally, anyways.

Hi Dusk Shadow,

We’re super sorry to hear you’re having a rough time with Armello right now, especially as we can see you’ve been a dedicated player, over 200 hours is really impressive!

Armello’s data is showing us that the game is in a really good and stable position, with fewer than 1% of multiplayer matches having any problems so we’d love to get a bug report from you. Please if you have another issue use the in-game bug sender to send us your logs and bug report while the game is still open. You can also reach out to support@leagueofgeeks.com. Often we can see issues with networks or regional specific issues connecting to servers. You have named one bug that is ultra rare but we have heard about it from other players but never been able to reproduce it in the studio. So again I do encourage you to send us any reports you can.

Lastly since you’re a long time player, sometimes a fresh install of the game can be the best thing, as applying patches over patches over patches can sometimes cause issues, your progress should be cloud saved but worth checking first.

All our best and reach out to us so we can help,

[LoG] Blake
