Unplayable

This game has terrible crashes for alot of users, will you win the lottery or not? If not your stuck with constant crashing that will revert your progress and your world to whatever point it autosaved at, then your stuck doing the same thing over and over with the same result driving you to insanity.

On another note, aside from progressing very little and in small increments each time between crashes, the game has a lack of development, many of the same character models are reused, and the areas, even though they seen nicely designed, are lacking in lore and interest with only a book or scroll somewhere inside giving a small random piece of story.

The balance of weapons is not very good, Wands being made completely broken in strength, and requiring no mana cost to use, while bows have a problem with not only the skills being bugged and not working, but the extreme cost for munitions just to use them. There is an entire tree revolving around fire arrows, but to make fire arrows will cost you a lot of time and effort just to make a few, while staffs have equippable spells with unlimited charges....

the base building is fun but you cant unlock all your building pieces until you've essentially gone through the entire game, which then your left with nothing to do except base build as far as I understand it. I cant even base build the way I want because i cant progress fast or far due to constant crashing, god forbid i get the crashing WHILE im building. that is terrible too.

I feel the game has good potential, if the devs make any attempt at balance, the bugs are corrected, and the crashing is fixed, but who knows if the devs priorities are in the right place. Even if in early access, I currently cannot recommend this game in its state.

Amazing game, but an extraordinary learning curve.

you're going to play this game wrong the first time you play it. Learn the mechanics and the tech tree. being able to manipulate the tech direction is key. When I play this I feel I need to take a college course, but when you learn it, it makes sense.

It is important not to get tunnel vision on the earth game, cause the space game is where this game thrives. Ship battles and customization, along with the colonization is fun, and generally the better play anyways.

I would highly suggest watching a reading a few guides and videos before playing, but all in all, totally worth it.

Too much of a grind for skulls. Orcs must die 3 is actually quite a fun game like the previous titles. however it is a step back from "orcs must die unchained" and only a slight improvement from "orcs must die 2". The new game modes, traps, levels, are great additions to the game. Its also wonderful its not longer a mess like unchained with player level differences and the micro-transactions nonsense.

However they kept 3-4 player coop out of the game, which was in unchained. makes it difficult to get friends onboard to play. This biggest gripe i have with this game as i claimed in the first sentence is the skull grind. theres like 30 more traps and weapons to unlock than OMD2, however there are less skulls around to unlock them, theres also the stupid processs where you have to upgrade the same trap 4-5 times before your done with it. leaving a player to play the entire campaign with just arrow walls, spike trap, barricade, and a tarp trap. Thats ofcourse unless you grind and farm skulls for hours and hours so you can have some variety.

Thats why i dont recommend it, I love the series, but OMD3 is too much of a grind to be fun. I want to progress and find new ways to make killboxes and try new strategies, not spend all my time finding skulls, and refunding skulls a million times to re-purchase every tedious upgrade which so badly kills the fun.

Great game! gameplay is fun. Alot of customization for differnt builds for your tech-priests. Lots of different options for difficulty and achievements, allowing for more replayability. Lots of intriguing lore into the mechanicus faction.

Only flaw is that if you do all the optional missions the game becomes incredibly long.

10 out of 10. One of the best RPG's ive played in a long time. Great story telling, lengthy singleplayer campaign, good combat mechanics, fluid gameplay.

At first glance i was skeptical when i bought the game, and was prepared to refund if the game was boring or not to my liking. I was not dissapointed, i immediately fell in love with the game and have put many hours into it, and prepared to play it more! it has turned based combat which is not what i normally get into, Its designed to reflect DnD style gameplay. Dont let that deter you however, being a singleplayer campaign its more fast paced, and offers far more freedom than what you would expect from that sort of thing.

This game offers even more replayability with a level editor/designer and workshop so you can play missions and campaigns designed by other players. theres even a DnD mode where you can even have a dungeon master (usually if its unscripted) and this ofcourse adds MP with your freinds.

When i first played i made a custom character not really giving a hoot about origin characters, when i discovered just how in depth the story was, i remade my game as one of the story characters and started anew along with a harder difficulty for further challenge. (Dont miss out on this, I fully recommend playing as one of the pre-designed characters! you can customise them anyway you want)

Overall i had a blast playing this game, worth the money spent.
