I can't recommend the game in its current state. I got it for its artstyle and price but it feels very poorly balanced. Like many others, I've hit a wall at level 6 out of 20 that seems near impossible without hours and hours of farming in a lower level, which is a baffling design choice to me for this kind of game - who the hell wants to grind the same boring 10 minute level over and over. Ability card drops are random which sounds like an interesting concept but in truth, can hard lock key upgrades from you. For example the upgrade for extra speed is locked behind having 3 different finance abilities, which I haven't been able to get in over 10 hours because of RNG.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this game yet... It's one of my favourites, as you can tell by my 400+ hours on it. I like how runs are generally pretty short (10-15 mins) but of course if you are good at the game they can go on for much longer. The game is very difficult but very satisfyingly fun when you get a good run going. I really enjoy the daily and weekly challenges. It is fun to try and rank high on the rankings on thronebutt.com

very good little game. a single runthrough can be done in 1.5-3 hours depending on how in depth you are with reading. I love solving little mysteries in the profile. i.e. finding the serial killer, the fella who won't seem to die and looking out for the mad scientist and his monster. I consider it a bit of a incremental game as buying the available key widgets in the in game shop are key to breezing your way to the endings you want.

A must-play if you like strategy and rogue-likes! Challenging but satisfying. The game is quite difficult but there are different difficulty settings. Many fun ship configurations and weapons to play around with.

A beautiful handcrafted game that's a bit short. It'll go for about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. The purple chapter felt especially short when compared to some of the preceding chapters.The music didn't stand out too much in my opinion. While it fit the game, it's not memorable and often felt a bit bland at points in comparison to the gorgeous art of the game.

The puzzles are not particularly difficult but fitting the right pieces together with the unique puzzle mechanics are still quite satisfying. There's a deep underlying story to piece together as you follow your protagonist through the chapters of the game. It's wordless and very much up for interpretation. I especially love the different constellations of the game's world.

If the price seems too steep for a 1.5 hour game, consider getting it during a sale or on iOS.

Lots of fun juicy details everywhere. Adorable animation and characters. However you have to remember to save often and that the game currently has some bugs! My game crashed on the first monster strife and I lost all my progress to that point because I forgot to save. Still this little point and click is full of charm.
