SPACE / MECH / PILOT feels a bit like a gratuitious dating sim, except instead of unreasonably hot person getting very quickly obsessed with tucking your bland faceless self into your bed, it's a (literal) Sad Little Meow-Meow declaring your bland faceless self their best friend ever.

While I suppose it's nice that the game doesn't overstay its welcome, I feel that it didn't have enough room to develop Kato and their relationship to "the Player". Or at least not enough for me to feel anything during the plot turns.

And the weirdest thing is that - despite game having a content warning for bullying - instead of prolonged mistreatment that affects the victim, it's just a bunch of strangers being moderately rude to Kato and/or concerned about an unsupervised child buying specialised equipment. As a victim of bullying for most of childhood, this feels... too sanitised - even though my experience wasn't nearly as horrible as it can get.

The underlying idle game is serviceable as a story conveyor belt, but it doesn't have a single leg to stand on after the story is finished.

All in all, while S/M/P didn't waste a lot of my actual time and wasn't painful to go through like some other free artistic games, I really don't see anybody I could recommend it to.

Desktop Dungeons is a funny, pretty, and well designed game.

The problem is, the level of planning quickly goes from charming to stress-inducing, where you no longer intuit the answer but need to use pen and paper. I couldn't even beat Halfling's second introductory puzzle.

It has some nice jokes, but unless you're a huge fan of Sonic (and possibly still a kid) it's not really worth it.

(Huge props for adding accessibility mode for action sections.)

Storyteller is an easy-but-challenging puzzle game that offers 2 hours of pure delight.

There are only two negative things I can say about it:

1. it's a very short game with no replay value - after you do every chapter's goal and complete every achievement, you'd have seen everything the game has to offer, and you'll likely be able to recall all the solutions for years to come,
   
2. I and several other people got horribly stuck on the Drinking Martini achievement (hint: you need to use the Countess specifically, it won't work with the Count) - the puzzle involved had so much possibility space, we just missed the somewhat niche and counterintuitive solution.

If you don't mind spending 31.50 PLN per hour of once-off admirably hand-crafted novel entertainment, Storyteller is for you.

Loadout might not have had good gameplay modes, and it might have very slow progression, but even the initial gun options kept me coming back many times.

Plus its credits theme, Welcome to the Gunshow (by W. Scott Snyder? by Rumble Child?), is a genuinely good and fitting song.

The last time I played Neverwinter, it was one of these games that markets itself as an MMORPG, but whose main gameplay takes place in instances.
However, all the talks about premium shop overtaking the game make me reluctant to go back in and see if that changed.

Dota Underlords just doesn't have the same immediate magnetic grip as TeamFight Tactics had on me.

I have no idea whether that's because TFT happens to be the only auto-battler that appeals to, or is it that DU is just underwhelming. The fact that it was featured in nerdSlayer Studios's Death of a Game series, suggests it might be the latter.

I was hoping for a replacement for Firefall.

I got Clown Car Simulator: A Guild Wars 2 From Another Mother.

The original The Binding of Isaac is a classic that helped start the modern roguelite craze, but:

A. you might be better served by a sequel,
B. if you have slow reflexes like me, the game is just an exercise of hitting your head on a brick wall.

Realms Revolutions is an unfinished game that will just peter out when you hit a wall weaved of tediousness and Aleksandr Golovkin's signature overreliance on clicking too much.

It's a good game to take a look and see what's going on with the desing for a few days, but it's not a game that you should attempt to beat.
