Not sure what everyone is so excited about. It's literally just BF with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics. Yet everyone hates on BF. People are wild.

The community maps, and friends make this game a great time.

So much basic D&D content in the way of classes/races is blocked off behind a DLC paywall.

Play Baldur's Gate 3 instead...

Unfortunately I lean more towards Demonologist.

Phasmophobia just, in my opinion, has WAYYYY too many ghosts. and it leads to very inconsistent gameplay.
There's been too many times we've guessed wrong on a ghost, because it didn't display the evidence that identifies is.

Finding the room it's obviously active in. leaving books, checking fingerprints, using spiritbox. And the stupid thing just NEVER indicates on any of those tools. And then you get finished with your mission and it's "Spiritbox, fingerprints, writing."

Evidence is much clearer in Demonologist. and it doesn't have a convoluted amount of ghosts (at least not yet).

Does the same thing Phasmo does, but at a much higher production, if you will.
Much more terrifying, and a lot more do to, mechanically.

The Outpost Prestige system needs a re-work. Even with a high-kill outpost, it's a chore to keep outposts going.

With your Outpost getting 12 hours of uptime, there's no guarentee you'll get more than 1 or 2 raiders. And you won't earn enough GenMat to Prestige.

The game has a major issue rewarding both raiding and building.
Based on their ranking system, they seem to expect people to raid for 2-3 hours a day as well.

It's going to create a ton of burnout. and things could overall just be done better.

It's not worth 30$. Maybe 20$ at most. Looking back on my purchase, I can't really recommend it. I had some fun. But, really it's a big missed opportunity IMO.

Had a severe problem with a save-file getting corrupted 12 hours in.
Lost alll my Capcom points for the playthrough.

I am really of the mind that because of that I shouldn't give the game a Thumbs-up.
But, the game does do a good enough job to make up for it.
Had I not been able to recover my save-file, I probably would have left it a down-vote though, and refunded the game.

It's 2023. Make a competent save-file process... There's no excuse.

Anyway. Rant aside, the actual game, story, remake, etc are amazing otherwise.
Ammo can be a bit scarce at points, because the game will almost endlessly throw enemies at you.

The evade/parry system is inconsistent. Which is another negative point. But, the rest is good.

A promising start to a game that is indeed getting a healthy routine of updates.
It's not there yet, but it's in great hands.

Really it's just more of the same thing we loved in Nioh, with some other demonic (literally) additions.
It's a souls-like, it's feudal Japanese fantasy. It's challenging. It's complex. It's non-linear.

Really, what isn't to like here?

Not sure why this game is getting negative reviews.
If you liked Nioh, you'll like this.
It runs fine on my 3070.

And, in a time of PCs that cost 2-3k to build, we're not even going to acknowledge the people complaining about KB/M controls when you can just buy a 20$ control and play the game that way. Who the ♥♥♥♥ is playing Soulsbourne games without a control anyway? I mean REALLY?
