I'm a long time Monster Hunter play. I started it with a plain demo disc which I got with my preordered Devil May Cry 3 on Ps2. (Good times sigh) I was waiting for sooo long for a proper new MH episode, because I never owned a Nintendo console sadly, and after MH2 most of the MHs came to Nintendo (except MHF and MHF2 which I played on my PSP a LOT). So I was hyped about MHW, tough at first I feared the game will be too different from the previous episodes for me. Fortunately this was not the case, and MHW gave me hundreds and hundreds of hours of fun, rage, challenge, and joy at the same time.

MHW looks incredible. The graphics are amazing, I like the art style and such - you just have to take a good look at a video, a screenshot or anything else. This new engine is doing a great job. What I was really surprised about - but in a good way - is the implementation of a proper, cutscene heavy story mode. Not that it really mattered - MH was all about fighting huge monsters, farming for materials, making badass equipment and stuff. And in this department the game is doing a 10/10 job. The new monsters look great, the old, returning monsters are stunning, I liked all (and hated some) of them.

Since the last update came out not too long ago, and we finally entered the "goodbye" phase of the game, I can write this review with a satisfied, but sad heart. I would like to forward my honest gratitude toward the developers for all their hard work, for all the FREE updates, the new monsters, the mechanics, the Iceborne Expansion which was incredible in my opinion, for giving me so many hours of joy, excitement, challenge, and frustration.

If you read this, please, consider my suggestion. The community sadly made some really questionable decisions when it comes to reviewing this game. So many times it was review bombed, because of absolutely childish reasons - for example when Alatreon came in, who is the second hardest monster after Fatalis, and the community felt the need of destroying the game in the review section just because they had no patience and willpower to learn how to properly fight this monster. Alatreon is hard, he is challenging to overcome, but after so many tried I've figured out how to fight him, it was not a problem anymore, and realized that it is one of the best fights of the game. It's intense, merciless and stressful, but that's the entire point of the fight. The second review bomb wave I know about is happening now - because of the Monster Hunter movie. And I'm baffled. I mean the devs of the game has nothing to do with the movie - if you don't like the movie (which I really don't) then review bomb the movie, not this super awesome game of a masterpiece! How much brain do you need to realize this?

Monster Hunter World is an incredible game, my most well spend 120 euros (if you take the base game and Iceborne together) which I've spent on a game. And I'm still not done with it, because I still have to learn how to beat Fatalis alone. If you like challenging games, and fun, colorful, intense world and fights, this game is for you.

THANK YOU CAPCOM!
