Buggy mess under a modern operating system. Ubisoft really should be selling this with a caveat that tinkering with system settings for hours is an intended part of the game playmechanic,. Shockingly bad.

Like traditional monster hunter and World had a cute ickle baby. Magnificent. 3 hours on PC, 300 on Switch.

Only just over an hour in and ongoing technical issues (not so much stuttering as periods of 5-8 seconds where it's effectively paused, followed by a 'fast-forward' catch up) are rendering it pretty much broken for boss fights. I'm on a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1080, 16GB, NVMe. When it's not stuttering, it's silky smooth and beautiful. The gameplay is incredibly satisfying and the world is beautiful. Giving this a positive review because the technical issues WILL be fixed and, frankly, the gameplay is sublime.
