A problem I have with a lot of rogue-like games is that their progression is either limited or extremely grindy to reach a point of maximum fulfillment. Hades does the opposite, with progression spanning multiple categories for the player to discover while keeping working towards them constantly entertaining.

The combat is great, with multiple weapons to unlock, the soundtrack is phenomenal (as anyone in the other reviews will tell you), and the voice acting and writing is more than sublime. If you enjoy games with a great story, great progression, and an overall feeling of rising to a challenge, give Hades a try.
