Overall shorted version: standalone, game is great play it worth it for a cheap scare wouldnt recomend paying full price for.

long extended verson:
the game is in my opinion, not as strong as the previous installment. It lacks in key story telling areas, and over bears in basic gameplay events. the game is longer than the first for the simple fact that every 100 steps you get sent to the alternate reality, thus casuing you to do an entire mission before moving on to the second part of ten of your original mission. the game is extremely repetitive in a sense that its basically a walking/running simulator that is broken in psychotic killer chases you through different areas mode.

overall the game has some good parts, good screenshot moments, some good lore if you like to read, but does have an issue with extremely talented AI that can smack through a hole the size of a quarter, my first and last playthrough until DLC come out was completed on hard with my girlfriend. we played along together and soon realized that there is no mapping the area or easily findable landmarks that make the game quite confusing when exploring or enduring one of the long chase sequences.

i would play this game, i would not pay full price for it, and i would not reccomend stealth game play as it is basically pointless with psychic telepathic AI.

this game is immensely fun and immensely entertaining. be sure to bring friends to enjoy one of the many game modes it provides as well as the skins. This games competitive mode is a fun expansive area with different skill levels. This gives you the ability to get better by mastering each skill level one at a time. The community is a great place to meet people and create groups to play with in the future.

Coming from a long time player this game is exceeding expectations. Four years in the making it surpasses all past additions to the game line in both visual and playability.
