One of the greatest games of all time.

Sekiro's combat is second to none and FromSoft's best work. Understanding how it works and embracing it will reward you with some of the best boss fights FromSoftware has to offer. Hesitate and you will experience defeat.

Dark Souls 2 is a fantastic game.

There are some mechanics that do differ from the Dark Souls formula that people know and love but once you understand them, the game plays incredibly well. One of FromSoft's more ambitious works and an all around great game.

Do not avoid it because people tell you to.

Come bored
Leave angry

is probably the best summary of the game you can get. My opinion of the game is that the sweeping changes they're implementing are a few years too late. It's like your childhood home is rotting from the inside and you just keep putting up new wallpaper and drywall to cover up the fact there's mould everywhere. Construction/Combined Arms/Implants are all fluff updates coming years too late to make a difference in the game's future. PlanetSide 2 will soldier on, much like it's predecessor but the golden age of the game has long past. Is it worth getting into?. I'd say yes with an asterisk in the sense that if you're looking for some fun for a few hours here and there it's a lot of fun. If you're looking for an in depth game that offers more than "Go to Base A - KIll Dudes - Get on point - Kill More Dudes - Spawn camp" then you're in the wrong spot. Vehicles are mostly irrelevant, the game doesn't have fights in the field very often, and centers around bases. There's zerging. Skill will only take you so far in the game, as the sheer weight of numbers trumps KD/HSR. You might get the occasional 12/24 fight where you can have a nice time but some outfit will notice and drop 96+ to take it. Most of the outfits with any sort of skill are dead, veterans having lost interest many updates ago.

Would I recommend it - Steam doesn't give me a maybe so I say Yes* if you aren't looking for anything in depth.

If you've never played Fallout 1 or 2 and you claim to be a giant Fallout fan, you're kidding yourself because Fallout 2 is the best one.

Figured I'd write the review after playing all five episodes.

Overall the entire game was a great experience and worth a playthrough for the journey you take. Don't fool yourself into thinking that every choice you make when given the opportunity to do so will change the outcome. The ending is one of two choices regardless of how you got there. It's hard to make a game with varied choices and endings to reflect all of them. The ending(s) are pretty bittersweet and I enjoyed that it wasn't all happiness and sunshine. Great twists and turns throughout the story narrative inject some surprises, and make sure you explore everything you can during the opportunities to explore places like Chloe's house. Backstory and such are key in the game and learning about the characters provides backstory to make you care about them, which may or may not come in handy at the end.

And the music in the party scene was incredible and somebody made a mashup of it all on Youtube. Worth a look for some bumping tunes.

8/10

Many game soundtracks these days are epic orchestral pieces, designed to provoke emotion in the middle of an epic struggle between good and evil. Designed to remind you why you're fighting and for what.

This is not that soundtrack.

What it is though is a reminder, a reminder of failure. You'll hear these songs over and over as you continue to die. You'll die in the main menu. You'll die changing the sound options. You'll die lauching the game. It's Hotline Miami. You die a lot. But after a while....you'll get into that zone. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. And these songs will become the orchestral score that Hotline Miami was never supposed to have.

It also comes in FLAC codec so you can put this on your Steve Jobs device and let people know as you drive around town what you're about.

49 songs for the steam sale price of $11.38. You'll pay more for that unknown local rock band album you buy at the starbucks counter while you're getting a venti frap with the flavour shot.
