Love S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? Enjoy a nice and sometimes stressful mountain drive? This game is for you! Very fun, and little budge LOVES watching me play it before bed.

So far so good! Feels great to be back in the zone!!

I was at work reading all the performance complaints getting very worried, but it is running on high like a dream! 60-80 fps, very stable.

Edit: 1 week in and LOVING IT! I have only crashed twice in about 30 hours of playtime and have had 0 quest issues as others have reported. I am currently in the 5th area of the game and doing everything along the way with only minor bugs (UI hiding automatically, some classic jank) but nothing game breaking.

Edit 2: 1 month in and a couple patches later and my rating has gone from a 9/10 to a 9.5/10. A-life being patched back in brought the zone some much-needed life. Oh and apparently I've been running on all epic settings this whole time. Only occasional slowdowns in some town centers but reloading my save fixes it.

Edit 3: Completed my first play-through plus a bunch of achievement hunting at around 200 hrs and doing all I can to wait for more patches/DLC to do a 2nd play-through. LOVE THIS GAME!

Even with the game on a fast drive to make loading a non-issue, this is such a dull, bland, and emotionless game. Probably the blandest game I've ever played. Making my own ship was pretty fun, but the thought of returning to finish the main storyline makes me want to groan. I doubt I ever will.

It's like old school Rainbow Six but for adults.

Talos 2 is everything that a sequel should be; it expands upon the ideas and mechanics of the first in a way that feels natural and rarely overwhelming. I'm about 75% through the game at the time of writing this and have only had to look up a handful of puzzles - they really nail the difficulty in this one.

I think what I love most about these Talos games is the movement speed (when sprinting) is super fast, so you can really work the puzzles as fast as your mind can think. This point was driven home when I booted up Portal 2 the other day and was searching desperately for a sprint bind.

Tl;dr - if you like puzzle games and philosophy this is one of the best of all time. (If you don't like philosophy, a lot of the text is skippable)

Oh, and the rail line transport to move between areas gives me the same feeling as the ones in RIVEN.

A great mix of animal crossing / stardew valley, with seamless co-op integration. Plays very nice on the Steam Deck!

Applied the frame rate fixes I found online, updated GPU drivers and am having perfect performance on max settings using a GTX 3070.

So far, the game is living up to ALL the hype!

Edit: They made co-op SO much easier and faster, and I love that you can spend hours exploring without having to constantly "re-soap"

Edit2: For Steam awards badge - an excellent entry to the souls franchise!
