Early Access Review
Imo by far the best survivors-like / roguelike bullet heaven game out there. A lot of different classes mixed with lots of progression, statisfying gameplay and tons of customization respectively build options. A Steal for its price.

I can only review the frame generation feature of Lossless scaling, which im using to make the terribly optimized escape from tarkov playable. So far its working great, the frame generation only has minimal visual artifacts and great performance, with no feelable input lag whatsoever! The frame gen easily doubles my fps and has completely saved my tarkov experience. Best 7€ ive spent in a long time!

This game is the result of corporate greed.
Its tight, responsive and satisfying gunplay gets overshadowed by terrible design decisions, that feel like they were made by an algorithm instead of an actual human developer.

PROS:
+ great gunplay (weighty recoil, smooth animations, crunchy sounds)
+ decent maps (they allow all playstyles to be viable)
+ the gunsmith (detailed weapon modding)

CONS:
- The new Perk system (Its a mess, you unlock the perks over time in a match, with perks like Ghost, that hide your icon on the enemies radar being unlocked very late, resulting in every player knowing the position of every enemy due to UAVs always up and running - this makes maps often feel like a mexican standoff and completely destroys the game flow until Ghost is unlocked)

- The progression (The progression feels like it was carefully calculated by an algorithm to min - max the time the players have to invest to unlock the weapons and attachments they want. You have to grind weapon levels on specific weapons to unlock attachements for other weapon categories, with most of the weapons also being locked behind grinding levels on other weapons.... This forces players to use weapons theyre not interested in to artificially inflate playtime - which is then even more artificially inflated by SBMM)

- SBMM (Skill based matchmaking is a whole other can of worms. Call of Duty was always ment to be a casual, arcadey shooter to play when you want to have some quick fun. The insanely aggressive SBMM in this iteration will manipulate the matchmaking to make sure the players have a consistent experience of "kill and get killed". Then when the players are about the become frustrated of "kill and get killed" - they get matched with worse players for 1-2 matches for some quick dopamine release only to be then rematched with sweaty opponents that force you into tryharding and competitiveness that simply dont fit the arcadey design of CoD. SBMM will also prolong the progression grind because it negates consistently good performance from players)

- crashes, bugs and missing features (want to check your Playtime, favorite weapon stats, K/D, winrate or similiar statistics? Well, not in MWII, because the game literally doesnt have the barracks feature. Also, prepare yourself for consistent crashes every few hours and graphics glitches that will get you killed)

- VFX being clientside (A grenade exploding infront of you and blocking your vision with smoke? Well, you´ll die since that smoke is only rendered for you and not the enemy that just walked around the corner :) )

- bad Weapon balancing (Most SMGs and MGs are mostly useless and overshadowed by assault rifles, shotungs are 50% RNG if they kill even when aiming properly and snipers are the better shotguns - need I more explaining?)

All in all the game has the foundation to be great, decent maps and a really good gameplay + gunplay could make this be the best entry in the franchise for the past decade. Yet an artifically inflated grind and many terribly designed sytems make this game unworthy of your money or time.

A short review.

I had my hopes up to play a second World at War, but boy I was wrong.
The game feels not like a WW 2 game at all, the movement, the pace, the gunplay...
Everything feels exactly like being ripped from the futuristic CoD's, minus the jetpack, minus the wall running.
Try the beta out yourself, but dont be surprised if you get starved of fun incredibly fast.

Also, the performance is horrible, I have a GTX 1060 6GB (latest drivers) and an i7 6700k, combined with a pretty fast HDD.
Yet, this game refuses to run smoothly, the FPS counter might show me a green 90, but the game stutters horrible and freezes for a second every now and then.
I know its a BETA and the performance issues will probably be fixed by release, but the whole game- and gunplay feels so boring and outdated that they would have to redo the whole game in order to make it fun and interesting.

If you want to get an immersive feeling and at least half decent gunplay, then youre better of playing Battlefield 1 or playing Day of Infamy.

Short review:
Game offers a unique movement system that is really fun, definetly the best part of the game.
What makes me not recommend it?
The weapon balance. It seems like the only weapon that is really viable and strong is the "spinfusor" - a weapon that fires a spinning grenade that detonates on impact (player or ground).
All other weapons DONT EVEN NEARLY have the same amount of damage like this weapon. Even those weapons that are relatively hard to use, like the sniper rifle ARE NOT REWARDING if you hit an enemy, not even if you hit them in the head.
The Spinfusor will still outdamage it, even if not a direct hit.

TL;DR Move on to the next game, this one will only keep you busy for a few minutes until you realize only 1 weapon is viable.

NOTE:
This review only reflects MY opinion.
The Performance Problems have been fixed so far.
I can play the game on medium settings at 1080p without any frame issues at (almost) stable 60fps.
Processor: i5 750
Graphics card: Nvidia Zotac GTX 960
RAM: 8GB
And an old and slow HDD.

SKIP TO THE BOTTOM IF U WANT A TL;DR ;)

Campaign:

(From what i"ve heared there is a 2nd run through the campaign once u complete it, but with zombies instead)
I never liked CoD's Campaign, too easy to guess the end, too simple, no freedoms at all.
I havent completed the campaign yet, but it follows the usual CoD Concept: Over-the-top-action; a story line where (spoiler!) an ally turns out to be an enemy ; and no decisions to make for the player (the biggest is which weapon you should use). But there are two new twist to BO3's Story:
1. The Coop system. You can now play the story with 3 friends.
2. The Safehouse. You return here after every story mission and can coustomize the look, abilites (not too many) and weapons of your character. Also every player u play with has a room for himself where he can present medals and collectibles he earns/finds after a mission to the others he plays with.
I rate 6/10 to the "Singleplayer"-mode because its alright-ish with friends but not really fun alone.

The zombie mode: Not played yet (Will eventually update).

The (imo) CORE-PART of the game ---- THE PvP Multiplayer:

If you really really hated the multiplayer/ gunplay of the previous call of dutys u may stop reading here, cuz u wont like it this year aswell.
The main gunplay is still the same as in previous call of dutys: low weapon recoil, shooting while moving is almost as acurate as standing, etc.
But there have been a few changes which actually make these mechanics FUN :

1. The Wall running: No, sadly, you cannot run on all walls, only very, very flat walls. Also, its not very fluid. As soon as there is something on the wall (a pipe, etc.) You instantly stop. Also you cannot carry the speed you gain while wallrunning over very well. As soon as you touch the ground and even if you instantly jump youll get much slower.

2. But there is one thing that helps this problem a little bit: The jetpack: Every few seconds its meter refills allowing you to burst into the air and double or even triple jump. If you use this you accelerate and carry your speed over. This means that if you wallrun and then use it you still have the same speed. Also this verticality helps in gunfights and makes the spraying mecahnic fun because it adds a small arena-shooter-feeling to them game.

Those are the 2 mechanics that make the spraying /almost no recoil shooting fun, simply because the height and speed you gain make killing an enemy mid-air feel much more rewarding and challenging.

But theres another and big(-ish) factor in the MP:
The SPECIALISTS. These are playable characters coming with 2 unique abilites (tho you have to chose one). During a match you have an ability-meter which, if full, makes the ability useable. The meter fills automatically but this can be sped up by killing enemy players. The abilites range from having a one-shot-one-kill Weapon over gaining a speed boost to teleport you back in time to a previous position you were standing on.

These abilites in addition to the new movements give the multiplayer a feel of uniqueness, something the previous CoD titles have failed to achieve for me.
Also, there is a sh**-ton of coustomization to unlock: multiple camos for your weapons, different looks for weapon mods and different hats / camos for the specialists. And you can now make your own weapon camos.

To conclude i can say that the multiplayer is by far the best part of the game, because the movement as well as the Specialists in addition to the big coustomization make it really fun for me. I rate 9/10 to the multiplayer and 7.5/10 for the whole game (not counting zombies, will eventually update the review).

The Developers abbandoned this game!
Why? To make a new early access game called "Reig of Kings".

What they left for us ?
A buggy, ugly, not-fun and messy survival-style shooter.
Im really lucky I bought this on a sale, but those who really spend 20 bucks on this ♥♥♥♥, got hit right in the stomach I guess.
Dont support this Company, dont but their new game, because the developers suck at bug fixing and if they dont get enough money from RoK they'll abbandon it probably too.

Oh, i just forgot to tell you that all of us poor bastards who bought Starforge didnt get a compensation at all.
