Can't stress how much of an improvement this game has made over the years. Been playing it since day one and MAN! The difference in how much better the game is in every aspect is phenomenal!

The totally revamped leveling system and perks breathed a new life into the game and makes spending time speccing out your V a worthwhile endeavor.

While still buggy at times, it's not game breaking or comically terrible like the first iteration. I haven't seen a game come back this hard since No Man's Sky

Plus it has Idris. Go get this, chooms 😎

Why portable and not FES?

- No cutscenes
- No freeroam
- What's the point of such high resolutions and framerates just to look at poorly upscaled 2D backgrounds?

I'm going back to the emulated FES, it's WAY better than this.

Man oh man... What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said about the Mona Lisa?

I got this game on a whim, Steam advertised it to me based on my previous purchases of other Rougelikes and I was quite enamored by the battle system shown off in the trailer and made the plunge. I had no idea how absolutely amazing the whole experience would be!

The game play loop is very similar to The Binding Of Isaac, bombs to destroy rocks, keys to open doors to power ups, but the battle system is extremely dynamic and I find myself swapping weapons frequently just to keep the combat fresh.

But the absolute shining jewel of this game is the soundtrack. I don't know if it's possible to fall in love with music, but if it is then I absolutely am when it comes to this game! I find myself lingering in areas just to lose myself in the music. The sweeping strings bring euphoric tears to my eye. Dale North, thanks for the best music I've heard in 2021.

Story wise I find myself relating to Cassidy's struggles and the residents of Redhaven remind me of several people I've met over the years.

If you love Rougelikes then this is a definite buy.

This game really surprised me! I wasn't expecting much out of this from the trailer alone. But once booting this up, I was floored by the immense amount of detail put into the game world. The characters all feel unique. The puzzles were well balanced. Plus boobs! 😁

I'm really excited for the full game and will definitely be picking it up once it's available.

This is EVERYTHING a true Metroidvania fan has been looking for.

You hunt monsters, in a world. It's the ultimate game!

This game is just phenomenal! The story is engaging, the graphics are astounding, and the gameplay is solid.
