Another entry into the seemingly endless list of roguelites. And while it sticks to the formulae, it does a lot to distinguish itself at the same time.

As you play more and start to level up and complete the long list of challenges provided by this game (some requiring you to not move at the start of a run or requiring you to critical hit 50,000 enemies in a single run!), you'll start to unlock more characters to play as, more equipment to equip them with and, as I just discovered, the ability to craft potions which offer different abilities, with this most basic letting you re-roll your choice of traits when you level up.

This game is very rewarding, allowing you to spend coins to upgrade your base perks (you can refund and swap these at any time) and the wellkeeper, who lets you buy gear from him that you may find when doing runs. This is the best feature, as once you buy gear, that's it - it's yours! This gear cannot be lost, even on death during a run.

I very much look forward to sinking a few hundred hours into this, easily one of the strongest entries into this constantly expanding category of games.
If price is a problem for you, don't worry, this developer is awesome - go check out "Halls of Torment: Prelude" - it's free and a great way to test if this game is for you.

it's not that far off the original, it's definitely not as shiny but it's far from the ♥♥♥♥ people claim it to be.

I don't often play RTS games, in fact, I wouldn't have touched them if not for this game. It's so absolutely halo while being completely it's own thing that I can easily overlook the fact that it's not an FPS. A great story, fun combat and more than enough choices to be made to make feel like you really earned your victory.

And, the AI opponents in skirmish are an extra bonus, with the ability to play against 1 or multiple simulated opponents, the fact the servers may be offline doesn't mean you can't explore the sandbox and mess around with friends.. or see how it feels to be in charge of the strongest UNSC base ever known.

Oh and for those who loved playing as an elite in Halo 3, how about playing as the whole covenant. Summon a few scarabs and be the bad guy, it's awesome!

the last good zombies released on steam. especially with custom zombies. round based is the best format for zombies.

definitely the hardest "realistic" difficulty in the series but still a fun time and not plagued with forced dmz gameplay.

>truly one of the game of all time

>i like that one goobie, the one with legs, he's quirky

Another delve into the roguelite genre, another fun game secured. Goobies takes the concept of levelling up, choosing items and killing bosses and just.. goobifies it?

There are numerous enemy types, with upgraded variants for when your reign of terror carries on a little too long. For those who love choice, be spoilt with a "Choose One" everytime you level up, with cards ranging from the simple and well loved "More XP" to the outrageous "Spirit of Mumsa" which, to put it simply, gives you a change to goob even harder.

There are plenty of locales, with a teleporter changing up the scenery after a set amount of time, a boss stands in your way to the beyond. While not terribly difficult, these bosses will get stronger with each Island, sometimes developing the ability to regenerate health or even spawn other enemies with their attacks.

Oh and did I say one boss? Not enough?
There's "Artifacts" that can help you out if the game is too hard, isn't hard enough or, for those special few, isn't silly enough. You'll have to earn these items though, which doesn't take much effort, bar a few.

Overall, a simple game, a nice looking game, a fun game!

one of the best fps/end of the world games there is.
story: thrilling
characters: based
(enemies: diverse, plentiful. boss-like enemies can be quite tough but easy when you employ everything at your disposal)
combat: different, better.

if you own the original crysis 2, you're not missing much by skipping this - aside from a 50gb download for graphical improvements.
