Yes, we finally finished the game. It was good that they brought a renewed version of it after 10 years. At least the game was pretty good, but I didn't understand. The weapon development was a little bit insufficient, so it was a little passive, but the story was good. Finally, we were able to play a good Crysis game after 10 years, thank you.

Arguably, the better of the Crysis games. However Crysis two starts to show the devs didn't have a clue what story to tell.
Crysis 1 starts on a Island in Asia, this one takes part in New York. How? No idea. Somehow Prophet, entered the ship on the first game and just ended up in New York.
Now, you're playing as Alcatraz a Marine sent into New York thats under "martial Lockdown" by CELL - A Private Military Group - cause of a virus turning people into mush. - Prophet saves you, by putting you in his suit, and kills himself.
As the game progresses, you get the picture prophet's mind is still in the suit.

Oh and the aliens? - Now caleld Ceph cause they're like octopuses. They're now red balls of... 'flesh' inside mechs, using airships and plasma weapons.
None of this has any connection to what you faced in the first game. It felt like the "red = bad" idea went a little hard so they wanted the aliens to be red and use War of the worlds (with Tom Cruise) as inspiration...
And apparently, the Ceph where here first... they're the original inhabitants... So why'd they send out a call for help...? Or is it an invasion force? - WHICH IS IT?!

Then at the end Prophet reveals himself in a vision and implies the suit wouldn't let him go; reinforcing the fact Prophet is the damn suit and Alcatraz is the body inside the suit...

Till Crysis 3 comes along and explains nothing, and you find out they explained what happened between crysis 2 and 3 in a damn book.

Yeah, the story is awful. - It feels completely disconnected from the first.

Game? - It's extremely good, hell, I feel crysis 2 hits that alien invasion/earth war vibe extremely well. It's as fun as the first. Just more weapons, upgrades to your suit and gun-play.
