Amazing Lego Star Wars game. I feel like my attractiveness is over the roof now. Walking on the sky.

This is an awesome game that surprisingly pulls you into a story where I didn't even think it could go to. I understand some of the criticisms of this game and the controls are a bit weird at times for brick placements but I think it is still a great game.

I do want to warn before reading the rest of this review that this was purchased during a sale where the game was $5 and for $5 this is a great game with a heartfelt story. For $20 I would not recommend the game only because it is a very short game and $20 for around 2-3 of game play for the story mode is not really worth it in my opinion. Unless you feel as if you would greatly utilize the creative mode of the game, I would wait until there is a sale for the game to purchase it.

Spoiler warning ahead for those that might want to experience the story firsthand...

Are you ready?

Okay, so the story is very heartfelt even though there are no words or dialogue to tell you what's going on, it is mostly a visual experience as you follow what I assume is a Father and his child. They initially probably go on a hike on a vacation and the dad teaches his son about creativity and how to make your own solutions to get to your goal using your imagination with what is given to you. However, once the hike is over, they go home and then you see the father presumably going to work? The Father's innocence and imagination as a child is gone as you see that his work is monotonous and is just placing the same four pieces in the same spot over and over and over with no color or imagination required. The child is sad that their father is gone but goes onto find a robot to help them find their father just to summarize the story quickly. The story is great as it really shows the essence of what LEGO is. Usually as we get older, sometimes we lose that spark and get into monotony, not because we wanted to but because that is what is required of us a majority of the time. However, as the child finds his father and they need to reunite, that spark of imagination is brought back to the father as the father needs to find a way to reunite with his child and get a way back home.

Some people might say that the game is boring and that it is clunky and the game is just placing blocks and seeing what happens but isn't that what we used to do when we were kids sometimes? We used to just put random pieces together and say it was a rocket or a house or a car and just see what happened with it after. Sometimes we would just make a random bridge or road with random pieces and sometimes it didn't work out and sometimes it did. That is what makes LEGO great for me and although a majority of LEGO sets are now just instructions we follow and it makes awesome sets that we love to display or play with, the core of LEGO was always just random and differently sized pieces that were thrown about for us to put together to see what we would imagine it to be once we were done.

I love this game, and again I would only pick it up when it is on sale but it is a great experience regardless. This is my own opinion from my own experience and just wanted to share it in this review. I like reading other people's thoughts on games and thought I would share my own today.

Thanks for reading!

This game is the the overall combination of feeling satisfied when you hunt down that Boss that took you a while to practice the movements for and then finally feel that great accomplishment when you beat them, then beating them some more to get their gear and then encountering them in an all new way. The Iceborne expansion especially makes you feel a lot more appreciative of your character and the journey you've made along a way that far surpasses the initial story. Also, the game almost never runs out of events and has been supported for a longggggggg time. If you ever felt like picking this game up, and you see that it's on sale, don't wait any longer and pick it up. This game can be played solo, with randoms, or even with friends online.

I usually don't write reviews for games but this one is an exception. This game has brought me hope for 3D platforms and collectathons in the future. This game has a beautiful way of making the collecting aspect of games fun and entertaining and it never feels like a chore because of the colorful and amazing atmosphere the game brings to the table. This has honestly been one of the best games I have played this year and I personally believe it has a lot more fluidity in its controls than Mario Odyssey. I give this game a personal 5/5 not because of the hype it had or its presentation, but because this game not only met my expectations, it blew them out of the water and more. I can't wait for the DLC that's coming out later. If you're looking to pick this up, you should only get this game if you like 3D platformers and feel satisfaction in collecting items. All I have to say is: Bravo.
