Early Access Review
I haven't even gotten into the guns yet and I'm already absolutely loving this. If you like Ark, Pokemon Legends Arceus, or Breath of the Wild than this game is for you. It has elements of all 3 yet stands on its own. I can easily see myself sinking hundreds of hours into this game, especially since it also has multiplayer/co-op and its early access so they might even add more pals, upgrades, QoL changes, etc.

Despite being a hentai game, the actual gameplay is fun and top-notch stuff. There were times where it was legitimately challenging. The hentai scenes are pretty good as well, and can be turned off in the game settings if you prefer to avoid them. I think its worth the cost. The story is at times kind of generic and cliche but at other times actually wholesome or funny. Overall, I think its worth picking up if you are interested in a hentai game with decent card strategy gameplay but don't want low-effort bs like a lot of the other 18+ titles on steam.

This game is an ambitious project by a small team of developers and its incredible what they have managed to achieve. The world is enormous and interconnected and the armor and designs of enemies is awesome. The developers are actively engaged with the community and are looking to continue to improve the game post-launch and are looking at feedback. Right now, I think the game is good but still needs some polishing. Better controls are being worked on right now, so it feels unfair to give the game a negative review simply for that alone. My biggest con atm is that I can't get it to work properly on my Linux PC(which is NOT the dev's fault). ** It runs semi-decently on Steam Deck with a mouse and keyboard plugged in, and I've heard from the devs they are planning on making sure its SD verified, so stay tuned for that as well.**Edit: I have gotten the game to work using Proton-GE-50 and it runs smooth as butter! The game has also gotten a tremendous amount of updates and fixes since this review. Major props to the devs for working so hard on their vision.

Fun relaxing puzzle game. If you like plants and a little bit of reading, as well as some puzzles, this is a great game to playthrough. Has 2 endings and 77 plants to collect and identify. You can also pet the cat.

Simply addicting. This game has not only created its own genre but has managed to keep people coming back over and over for more, despite its clones. The creator has continued to add more and more content to the game over time and for the price, its worth the money hands down.

Just play it. Don't look up videos, don't watch youtubers, don't look up guides. Just. Play. It.

Easily GOTY. A bug-free, enjoyable experience with solid writing that holds up amazingly well 16 years after the original.

I resisted picking this game up because it looked like an indie low-poly no mans sky and I didn't understand the appeal. NMS already exists and has way more features. It wasn't until I saw Hololive's Amelia Watson play it that I decided to try it out.

This game is nothing like what I originally thought. I would never even compare it to No Man's Sky now.

This is way more like the MYST games, but set in space. You have to solve mysteries, explore various terrain and strange alien weather conditions, all while the clock counts down to the sun going supernova. Each time it does, you start over but you will have learned or explored a little bit more.

It's a wild ride and worth checking out. Now that I've played a good chunk of this title I fully understand why it won so many awards and I'm baffled that I didn't pick it up sooner. This game is definitely a 9.5/10. It isn't overly ambitious, graphically its style holds throughout the title, and there is a great sense of atmosphere. I will say, the controls are sometimes a little annoying, but I spent most of the time playing on KB/M when it is designed for Controller, so that is probably part of why I feel that way.

TL;DR: Buy this game if you like puzzle solving, space, and exploration. 9.5/10

Really nice game so far! Needs some polish which I assume will come over time. Probably should be early access still instead of full release, but it is playable and free so it doesn't matter too much. 7/10

A Hat In Time is a perfect example of why I enjoy playing video games. It's fun and enjoyable, has a great cast of characters, has jokes and references, has a wonderful soundtrack, supports speed running, workshop mods, and has collectables out the wazoo! This game was designed around what made games like Banjo, Mario, Gex, Spyro, and many others so enjoyable to play and what makes us feel nostalgic about such titles. While it isn't like Yooka Laylee, literally a spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie, this game is one of, if not THE best platformer/collectathon games on Steam right now and I would recommend it to anyone looking to add to their collection.

Side note: This game is still being worked on, and as such modding is not fully supported. It has to be enabled, and I have encountered bugs with mods, so download them at your own risk. This does NOT make the game any less worth every penny, but I believe it should be mentioned.
