I'm trying not to be nasty about this game because it was made mostly from donations on indiegogo (they even mention every person that donated in the credits which I thought was a nice touch). And from what I've researched the game developer is not super experienced so I want to put this into the 'it's the first game I made' pile... I mean heck the website said it was mostly filmed with a freakin iPad. So lets not be too judgemental.

! That being said ! The singing is truly awful, but it's funny. When they started singing, and they were out of key and the stop motion animation looked like it came from high school students my initial reaction was - urg. However, as I proceeded the terrible singing and non sensical lyrics became funny and charming. What I did enjoy was the music. Check out this youtube clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=17&v=2mWDV5IiwRc of the band responsible for the soundtrack.

This game takes at the most two hours to complete so don't expect complex gameplay.. in fact don't expect any gameplay. However this is a good case for Dominique Pamplemousse because I swear if this game was even ten minutes longer I would have punched my computer. It is meant to be a short game... It's kinda like that one friend you have that's fun to be around in small doses because they're silly and quirky but if you spend more than an hour or two with them you're ready to pull their tongue out and feed it to the wolves.

Worth the experience if the game is free or if it comes with a nice little bundle. NOT WORTH $5 ON ITS OWN

I'm not sure how but I got this game for free. One day I woke up and logged into Steam and there was a steaming pile of free game so thank you Steam for being cool. Now this review is based on the game being free, let me make this very clear - I would not pay $5 for this game. I would pay $2 or less for this game. It's not worthless but yeah.... not worth $5.

That all being said, here is my review:

You find the missing objects before the time runs out. Some objects are really fun and occassionally you get more cryptic clues like 'Gegs' means you must find scrambled eggs in the picture. The actual pictures are quite creative and I can appreciate that a lot of effort went into drawing everything and putting it together. There is a storyline which quite frankly you stop caring about 30 seconds in. This is something I would recommend to casual gamers. I found myself playing this game when I felt frustrated with other games and wanted to just chill for 30 minutes. So I recommend this game only if you're a casual gamer and it costs $2 or less. Ultimately this game serves its purpose of being a find the hidden object game. It's nothing more and nothing less.

Managed to read through entire story, complete all endings and all achievements in about 8 hours. This was my first crack at a visual novel of this style and I gotta say that I really enjoyed the experience. This is different because you aren't spoonfed the story. You're free to discover many different ways to view and interpret the logs. During my final playthrough I wound up coming across information that I'd never seen before that gave me an entirely different perspective of the storyline. Some people won't enjoy this game because there aren't any funky backgrounds or pictures and actual gameplay is lacking, this is almost entirely reading but if you like to read this won't bother you. Will definitely be playing Hate Plus soon.

Things I can do in Cities: Skylines that I couldn't do in SimCity (5)

- Play without an internet connection
- Name my city something rude like PantyFlash
- Edit terrain in a nice map editor
- Play without logging into Origin...
- Actually have simulated people whose actions make sense
*** Every person has their own name and a constant house where they live ***
- Manage traffic properly
- Have fun

I have been a big SimCity fan for many years. I've collected the games and have tried my best to stay loyal to the brand because most SimCity games brought me many hours of gameplay and joy. When SimCity Societies came out, I received it for free with another game I had purchased. I must admit... it was one of the weakest SimCity games I had played but I still put some time into it because I appreciated that the Maxis team had tried something different.

Then SimCity (5) happened... I was one of those suckers that actually went out and bought a hard copy of the game the day it released. Heck I had been waiting for about 10 years and when I spent what is roughly $45 dollars I thought it was worth it because this is SimCity! I played the game for about a week and then went played SimCity 2000 instead. Yes that's right, I would rather play a game made in 1994 than one made in 2013. And when SimCity came out with an expansion pack for it a few months after release, I was done. Done with SimCity. A game that I have played and loved my entire life. The first PC game I owned other than solitaire and that crazy pinball game that came with Microsoft =.=.

So long live Cities: Skylines. Long live Collosal Order.

PS: Found a link earlier this week about Maxis and EA. Apparently EA is closing Maxis down. Give it a read. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/03/04/its-a-sim-ea-closes-simssimcity-developer-maxis/ What do you guys think about this? Feel free to comment.

Also please keep in mind that the comments made on SimCity 5 are based on my experience with the game when it originally released and not patches and ammendments that have been made to the game since then.

One of the best puzzle games I've ever played. This game is simple yet highly complex and can give you many hours of gameplay if you go after all the achievements. What I liked most about this game was the difficulty curve. Most puzzle games I've played are ridiculously easy and don't pull you in. The Bridge starts off this way but provides some genuinely challenging sections as you progress. The mechanics in this game are interesting enough that even non puzzle game fans would probably enjoy this. Not a strong story line and the character doesn't pull you in as much as other puzzle games on this level (like Machinarium) but still definitely worth playing. Personally I would not pay $9.99 for this game... rather wait for it to go on sale.

I just played through this game start to finish in four hours and here are my thoughts.

Puzzle agent has the potential to be a good game but falls short. I started playing and found certain dialogue genuinely funny but as the story progressed and became more ridiculous I lost complete interest in the story itself. Now I'm not against a 'random' or 'quirky' storyline, in fact there are many games that have thrived under that direction - however these stories work because you are invested in the characters and want to see them develop regardless of how outlandish the story may seem.

Just for example - there is a cutscene where you are carried off into the woods by gnomes and wake up in a space shuttle in zero gravity where you need to solve a puzzle to get out, once you solve the puzzle you wake up in the lodge. That's it - there is no explanation given as to why you were there and it is literally never addressed again. I was thinking - are you trying to be random? funny?? Oh and before you go there this isn't a case of 'it was all just a dream'. Apart from the random story line this game has provided me with what is possibly the most unsatisfying ending I've ever experienced in a game. The ending was so frustrating that it may have encourage me to purchase puzzle agent 2 just to see what happens but because I wasn't at all invested in the lead character (heck I've already forgotten his name) lets call him detective mcgee that I wouldn't play puzzle agent 2 even if it promised a satisfying conclusion.

That all being said, this is a puzzle game which means that the puzzles should be worth while. Yes and no. The original puzzles are clever and original - however they tend to repeat themselves and the final three puzzles of the game are hilariously easy. Also there is one particular puzzle that is unclear and could be interpreted several different ways.

So to conclude I would only recommend this game if you are a serious fan of puzzle games - if not go pick up a copy of Lyne for a dollar more and focus more on the puzzles than any actual story.
