Absolutely fantastic puzzle game, fun story to discover as you go. A little short, but one of the best puzzle games I've played in a while.

Early Access Review
This is my favorite 'Survivors' style game. The gameplay is fun, the different characters and builds are fun to experiment with, and the progression is satisfying and rewarding. The 12 minute rounds with options to extend are a fantastic way create runs you can end periodically but extend if you're in a groove.

I've been playing for a few months and the devs have put out multiple, substantial updates, including an anniversary patch today that overhauled the rune system (for the better) and addressed one of my biggest complaints by upgrading the UI to make the value of different upgrades clearer. I was originally a little concerned to see they have another game coming soon while this one is still in early access, but it's clear that this game is a priority.

If there's a complaint, it's that the difficulty scaling can be a little rough. You set the difficulty by adding different curses at different tiers. Having all the curses from a tier unlocks new rewards (primarily crafting material or extra upgrade currency) and you can choose different curses a la carte. Unfortunately managing your curses can be frustrating (I would recommend allowing different curse 'profiles') and the highest difficulties can sometimes feel punishing more than challenging with the amount of the screen covered in attacks. In my opinion these aren't deal breakers and I plan to edit this review when (I'm confident) the devs continue to rework systems.

Overall strong recommend, enjoy if you like other games in the Survivor space.

It's the bees knees, the cats meow, it makes Divinity: Original Sin 2 look like Divinity II: Ego Draconis. If you're on the fence, get on the right side of the fence and play this game.

Good game, recommend it for those looking for something Phoenix Wright-esque. Hopefully we see a sequel!

A game you can always come back to. A great relaxing way to spend an afternoon, or often longer when you lose track of time.

Really fun game. Great graphical style and atmosphere. I have a lot of unplayed games in my steam library, I'm really glad this one caught my eye. The bosses are interesting and varied, and there are optional items to find and hidden areas to come back to. Would recommend

I've been looking forward to a new game in the Dragon Ball universe for a long time, but this offering left a lot to be desired. Fun? Yes. It can definitely get repetitive, but it's enjoyable. If you don't care about the story and universe, this is a game worth buying when it comes down in price.

My biggest complaint with the game is the lack of characters. While it's hard to build a full ensemble with the length of the dragon ball series, but I'm really bothered by some of the exclusions and choices. Not a SINGLE character or story from the Dragon Ball series is included. Not a one. No young Goku, Krillin, no Master Roshi/Jackie Chun, Mercenary Tao, General Blue, Tambourine, Yajirobe, etc. Honestly disappointing, especially when it's not called "Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse". Had it been, I would have expected to only see content from there and later.

Even Z characters are missing - excluded are a number of relatively important characters, any Kais, Android 16 (in fact, the Android story is almost completely skipped), Uub, Pikon, etc. I was hoping DLC would fix this, but no, DLC is all GT content so far. "Awesome, I can play as the wonderful character PAN?!" you may be thinking to yourself, and the answer is yes - if you buy the DLC! It bothers me that two of the game's main villians are DLC only playable characters. That you need to purchase them is just money-grabbing from the publishers. There are also numerous character slots used on the same character, I think three different versions of Trunks.

All that being said, the fighting is decent. It's pretty fun to go super saiyan and beat the snot out of someone. Unfortunately, the gameplay has a few issues: server crashes (even in single player), annoying mechanics, and lots of griding. Overall, a decent game but leaves a lot to be desired. I doubt they ever would, but encouraging modding would do a lot for it.

Bindig of Isaac: Rebirth has added to and improved on almost every aspect of the original game. If you like rogue-likes, or adventure games similar to the older Zelda titles, this is truely a must have. It's also still recieving free updates, with an upcoming expansion slated to add more than 100 new items.
