Full disclose that you should half my playtime for a more realistic count; I had to alt-tab out of this one a few times and forgot it was running in the background for at least 12 whole hours.

So the good is its finally here, its cute, and yes you too can smooch swords and enjoy some positive uplifting takes on intimacy and boundaries in a dating sim.

The bad tho -- for as long as this game was subject to an immense hype machine among certain crowds (see queer nerds with a tendency towards adderall fueled indie darlings); I really was expecting this game to feel a lot more -- done? well baked? for a lack of better term and would have liked to see the world and backstories a little more fleshed out as well as there's some unforgivable UI glitches that render the text occasionally unreadable and requires a reload which; yes I get KitFox is an indie developer so nitpicking is a bit gauche, but for how long this game was in the oven I just expected maybe a little better?

Also props for representation and thorough content warnings; but it would be nice to occasionally see a nonbinary character in media that didn't fall onto the spectrum of either "Killstar future model" or "precious bumbling cinnamon bun".

Overall its hard for me to enthusiastically recommend this game in its current state, but I wouldn't steer anyone away from it either and its a good stopgap for anyone looking to fill whatever queer procgen with storied weapons roguelite hole in their heart was left by finishing Hades.
