Walking sim masquerading as a collection of expressionistic vignettes; it felt like going on a road trip during a prolonged derealization episode, after having stayed up all night watching Videodrome.

When not in a dreamlike dialogue with an NPC, the game is spent either slowly walking/driving, or just waiting, around, so don't play it unless you're in the mood to soak up some uncanny retro vibes and interpreting a vague narrative.

Interesting experience that's worth the short time it demands of you, but get it on sale.

The guy standing in the darkness staring at you is scary and all, but the true horror of this game is the migraine-inducing blurriness the game forces on your eyes with every single movement

Pros
- You can jump on zombie heads and also use them as airbags when you jump off high roofs
- The parkour is even more fun than the first game
- Chris Avellone worked on this game
- You can bang the girl in the library

Cons
- Ubisoft-ass loot-scrounging simulator
- Nights are no longer pants-poopingly scary
- Chris Avellone got fired from this game
- You can't bang any of the zombies

All in all a pretty mid game that's very fun to play until you suddenly get sick of it

Great game, gorey and Twin Peaksian, but I don't recommend playing this game on Steam: There's some problem with the game being processed too fast and you risk it skipping a bunch of cutscenes. This problem has been fixed on the GOG version though, and why Steam doesn't have the same fix is beyond me.

But well, you always were a kidder, Steam.

Like someone took some of the best parts from Resident Evil and Silent Hill and the like, and distilled them into a 2 hour long survival horror serotonin shot and injected it into my brain
