I got this from Humble Bundle long time ago. Worth playing with a controller I recommend.

This game however does require you to play the first game to understand bits about the lore in Zwei Series.

Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection is a Japanese Action RPG made by Falcom the most iconic games from the 90s like Ys Series which was big in Japan.

The game Zwei was poorly marketed or really wasn't as big in the 2000s because everyone was in consoles back then like PS2 or PSP more than the PC market which wasn't popular.

So what does this Japanese Action RPG have anything good? Well, its the Music, Simple Gameplay, and 2000 atheistic vibes that most PS2 or GameCube era games close to reminding me like Wind Waker, but instead of Wind Waker its just another JRPG.

Probably worth buying even on sale if you like that type of plot most JRPG and its very silly too. (New Game+ even makes the game more interesting.)

The OST is also pretty good so I played and even beat New Game+ it took me 80hrs to get to it. (Of course its the Steam Achievements that took so long to get it.)

I wish Falcom made Zwei III however I doubt it since the game really came very late for a English translation and the team who made it already abandon the project.

Spoiler I guess if your interested how the plot ended. -

The game is also in a state of no point of making a sequel it seems like there is no problem to move forward with the plot ended like everything except for the packages or anything to do with the weird holes not answered in some areas. Zwei seems to not take place in same areas from the first game but rather the same world. Possibly more floating islands outside the world.

I recommend playing some mods as well to improve or add like some sort of audio changes.
