“The Depths”
How to enter:
“The Depths”

Lay down on your back or reclined in a comfortable way.

Spend some time just relaxing as much as possible, letting go of everything, breathing slowly and intentionally.

After you become a good amount relaxed (may take 5-15 minutes) start focusing on your energy centers (chakras), work your way up through the energy centers, feeling the energy in each one and in your body until you get to the crown chakra.
(space above your head)

Keep becoming more and more relaxed and focusing your energy into the space above your head. You will eventually feel the boundaries between yourself and other dissolve, you will likely feel a sense of weightlessness or lack of feeling in your hands and then body.

Now once you are in this spacious place, focusing the energy into the space above your head, begin to slow your breathing.

You naturally will begin to breathe less and less, feeling less of a need to breathe, the more you still the breath the more relaxed and peaceful and spacious you will become.

Now imagine being a really really old person, your energy becoming weaker and more gentle, your drive to do anything reducing more and more, keep doing this and just let go.

If you followed all these steps accurately, you will likely begin to experience very indescribable things, it may feel like you are swimming upwards in some water and approaching the surface, the moment you break the surface and peak above the water, you will find that you are not breathing anymore, your heart may race to oxygenate your body, do not panic.
(we won’t spend very long in the depths)

Simply peak above the water into what can only be described as:
“nothing/everything”

A place where your smaller self is absorbed into the larger self, a place of ultimate peace, tranquility, awareness.

Now return to breathing and come back into your body.

I have not been able to enter the depths while continuing the breath yet, i don’t know if it’s possible but i will continue exploring.

I believe it’s possible to “train” yourself to enter the depths for longer and longer periods of time, at first you may only peak into it for a moment, before you get scared and come back, but i think over time I will be able to enter for longer and longer periods of time.

Entering the depths is a very beneficial experience, it gives the soul a sense of rest and peace, a breath of fresh air (no pun intended).

It also develops courage and a comfort with the concept of death.

This is just my experience with “the depths”
take it as you will.

Also if you listen to music with headphones while you enter the depths you enter a slightly different but similar state of being,
rather than absolute nothing/everything,
the music will illustrate your environment,
you may see colors and shapes, dancing along with the music.

I’ve only done that one once.

I think this state is also called “samadhi” by the Indian yogis.

Anyway, have fun and be safe :)
