I cried on his shoulder as his fun and silly voice pierced the air.
"I love you" he said with a single tear flowing from his plastic eye.
"You love me?" I replied.
"Were all one big happy family." He replied for the last time.
He then gently set me on the cool grass and walked off into the sunset.
In the distance I could hear gun shots.
I hung my head low as the children sang the very words we spoke to each other, for I knew that was the last i'd see of him.
Of Barney.
He let out a soft bark to let me know that he was tired of the fighting. The screaming, the torture and viloence. He stood up because he knew it was time.
"No Clifford, please!" I cried. I had already lost the purple and green giant that I loved, I couldnt lose him too.
He let out another bark, this time sharper more nervous, silencing me.
He majestically glided into the distance eventually disappearing over the horizon. I cried "not again... NOT AGAIN!"
I punched the air furiously letting out a scream of rage.
I drew closer and closer to the horrors that I was about to see.
Ill destroy them I thought to myself... DESTROY!
I transitioned from a evil jog a furious run.
They would pay... They would pay.
All was nothing.
As I neared the mundane looking school I realised that I was being watched. A hideous white bunny with beady red eyes appeared like a ghost from beyond. A gun lodged in his furry paws.
"Buster" I spat.
"OH ARTHUR" he screamed eerily. "LOOKS LIKE WE GOT SOME COMPANY!"
Suddenly a mob of common woodland creatures emerged from the graffitied playground.
All armed.
"You killed Barney AND CLIFFORD YOU MONSTERS!" I screamed accusingly.
A villainous chuckle emerged from Arthur's hairy lips. "We control pbs kids now!"
