Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games have been a staple in many gamers childhoods, but how well does it hold up to modern standards? It's complicated:

Quantity of Waifus (2/10):
Surprisingly, this skateboarding game doesn't offer many waifus. While you might expect to find them in a skating title, there are only a handful of elusive skater-girls scattered throughout the game, providing minimal waifu content.

Adaptability to a Literary Novel Format (4.5/10):
The game doesn't lend itself well to a literary novel format. While the gameplay is exciting, translating it into a novel might prove challenging. However, the character development and backstories of the skaters could make for an intriguing side story in a literary work.

How Professionally Useful it is Achieving 100% (4/10):
Reaching 100% completion in this game is an achievement worth mentioning on your CV, but it might not be as universally valuable as other accomplishments. It could demonstrate your dedication and problem-solving skills, though, showcasing your commitment to mastering a challenging task.

Teaching Real-life Skating Skills (7/10):
While Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is no substitute for real-life skating, it does a remarkable job teaching the fundamentals of skateboarding. The game's tutorials and in-game mechanics can help you understand the basics, making it a decent training tool for aspiring skaters.

Playability on a Real Skate (1/10):
Surprisingly, the game is entirely unplayable on a real skateboard. Attempting to play while skating would likely result in disastrous consequences. It's much safer and more fun to experience the game from the comfort of your gaming setup.

Final Score: (6/10)

In conclusion, it's surprising that the game doesn't even attempt to explain who is Tony's "Pro Skater", but let's entertain a theory. What if the mysterious titular figure is none other than former U.S. President George W. Bush Jr? It's a far-fetched idea, yes, but it's not entirely out of the realm of reality that the former president could skillfully navigate both politics and half-pipes. In the end it was perhaps a clever choice leaving the titular character a mystery, as this as fueled a decades long debate within the community in an attempt to unveil the true identity of Tony Hawk's mysterious skater. Personaly my favorite theory is the previously mentioned Bush Jr., but there are also many preponents of other theories, such as Alex Jones being the mysterious skater (despite alegedly being too fat to skate), or even internet celebrity Asmongold according to many fans.

As a kid, I had a very dark soul, and the shadows of loneliness enveloped me. My solitary existence was my constant companion, leaving me feeling like an outsider in a world that I perceived as unrelentingly harsh. My solace came from Limp Bizkit's music, whose angsty tunes resonated deeply with my troubled soul. Fred Durst's raw and emotional lyrics were the soundtrack to my life, speaking to the darkness that consumed me.

But then, I discovered Dark Souls Remastered on Steam, a game that would alter the course of my journey. Just like Limp Bizkit's intense music, the game plunged me into a world of shadows, challenging me at every turn. It felt like I was confronting the abyss within me, just as Limp Bizkit's lyrics had done for years.

The brutal difficulty and relentless enemies in Dark Souls Remastered taught me lessons that Limp Bizkit's music couldn't. It was a reflection of my own life – failures, setbacks, and relentless struggles. And much like Limp Bizkit's music, the game showed me that even in the darkest moments, there are glimpses of light.

The game's intricate level design and hauntingly beautiful landscapes hinted at the hope that I'd never allowed myself to see before. It was as if Fred Durst's lyrics had come to life in the game, reminding me that even the darkest souls have pockets of brightness.

Just like Limp Bizkit's music served as my therapy, Dark Souls Remastered became my escape and a source of inspiration. It helped me confront the abyss within my soul and provided the strength to overcome it. I realized that, much like Limp Bizkit's music, there's redemption even in the darkest corners of life.

As I write this review, I can't help but draw parallels between my life, Limp Bizkit's music, and Dark Souls Remastered. They've all been essential in guiding me from darkness to light, proving that even the darkest souls can be remastered and can have spaces where it's bright and light sometimes.

TLDR: Limp Bizkit's music, like Dark Souls Remastered, shines a light on the darkest corners of the soul. Both have shown me that even the darkest souls can find redemption, just like Limp Bizkit's lyrics resonate in the darkest moments of life.

7 Days to Die is a unique and thrilling open-world survival game that plunges players into a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies and challenges them to survive for as long as they can. Developed by The Fun Pimps, this game combines elements of crafting, exploration, combat, and horror, offering a dynamic experience that has captivated players for years.

Gameplay (8/10):
The gameplay in 7 Days to Die is where the game truly shines. The open-world environment is procedurally generated, providing a different experience with each playthrough. Players must scavenge resources, fortify their bases, and fend off hordes of zombies that become increasingly ferocious and numerous as the in-game week progresses. This seven-day cycle of zombie attacks keeps players on their toes and adds a significant level of tension to the game.

The crafting system is deep and satisfying, allowing players to create everything from weapons and tools to intricate base structures. It's this aspect of the game that encourages creativity and problem-solving as you build your own safe havens and fortresses. The game's skill system also adds a sense of progression and personalization to the gameplay, as players can develop skills in various areas such as crafting, combat, and survival.

Graphics and Sound (6/10):
7 Days to Die's graphics have improved over the years but still fall short of modern standards. While the game doesn't aim for photorealism, the textures and character models could use more polish. However, it's important to note that the game's focus is on gameplay rather than graphical fidelity.

The sound design, on the other hand, is effective in creating a tense atmosphere. The eerie sounds of the zombie hordes and the rustling of leaves in the wind contribute to the game's overall immersion. The soundtrack is minimal but fits the game's apocalyptic theme.

Multiplayer (9/10):
7 Days to Die offers a fantastic multiplayer experience. Teaming up with friends to tackle the challenges of surviving the apocalypse is where the game truly shines. Cooperative play allows for more efficient resource gathering and base building, and it's exhilarating to defend your fortifications together against the increasingly powerful zombie hordes. The game's community is also active, with various servers and mods available, enhancing the multiplayer experience.

Replayability (9/10):
Thanks to its procedural world generation, deep crafting system, and the ever-looming threat of the seven-day horde, 7 Days to Die offers exceptional replayability. Each playthrough can be drastically different, and the challenge of surviving can be addictive. Mods and user-generated content further extend the game's longevity.

Overall (8/10):
7 Days to Die is a must-play for fans of open-world survival games, and especially those who enjoy co-op experiences. While the graphics and sound could use improvement, the engaging gameplay, depth of crafting, and intense multiplayer make it a game that can easily absorb hundreds of hours of your time. The ever-present danger of the seven-day horde keeps the adrenaline pumping and ensures you'll want to dive back into this post-apocalyptic world time and time again.

tl;dr:
7 Days to Die is a captivating open-world survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world infested with zombies. While it falls short in the graphics and sound departments, it excels in gameplay, offering deep crafting, intense multiplayer, and endless replayability. The ever-approaching seven-day horde will keep you on your toes, making this game a must-play for survival enthusiasts.

In a world where every day is a battle against the undead, 7 Days to Die is a "dead-icated" survival experience that's sure to "zombify" your gaming hours!

I originally bought this right after release and refunded after an hour. I was expecting JSR3 like I guess many people. I loved JSR, I played the original on dreamcast, and a ton of JSRF, JSRFMP, and even participated in this forum based JSR themed roleplay board for years (I'm not proud of it), it was kinda like those old proboards roleplay forums.
My first impressions on BRC were that it feels like a souless budget JSR copy and wanted to wait for a sale, but later I gave it another try anyway and I'm glad I did, it was an absolute blast the whole way through after just giving it a fair chance and honestly my GOTY so far, worth the price point for me.

My Pros v Cons for this:

PROS:
- S tier fluid gameplay,
- Cell shadding art style was done perfectly
- Most maps are good
- Feels great to do sick combos and aim for high scores
- Great combo system, multipliers are done in a way that incentivise extending the combos to the whole map
- Soundtrack is great, I thought it wasn't nearly as good or memorable as the soundtracks from JSR and JSRF but it's good enough.
- Map exploration is great and there's lots of collectables, it's nice seeing the maps, areas are well done, there's few enough reused assets that wherever you go you feel things are unique and there for a porpose, even npc citizens are part of the scenes and doing stuff that makes sense.
- Combat, it's a basic system but I thought it works well enough, it's not great but it's way better than bumping into cops and graffiti them everytime like in JSR and JSRF.
- Story was nice, it's not very complex but it was cool and had some oh ♥♥♥♥ and badass moments
- Game is long enough and it's fun the whole time, I don't remember anything i'd dread doing if I had to do a second playthrough. I clocked 30 hours for the main story but at least 10hours i was afk from computer, and maybe 4-6 hours I was doing big combos and chilling in maps and doing the high score combo achievements so maybe story would take 15 hours for a very chill and leasure run, most people would do close to 10 hours or less if just doing story.
- Easily moddable
- Graffiti artists did a sick job
- The graffiti system was a clever way to let you have the full arsenal of graffiti at your disposal without being restricted to a sort of equipable loadout.

CONS:
- Too easy, i think even just adding achievements for higher combo scores would add a bit more challenge, the least acquired achiev in BRC I think is at like 8% or so, (completing JSR's tutorial gives you an achievement rarer than anything in BRC)
- I thought characters lack personality, there is character development on a few characters but everyone else is just there to help you achieve your goal, like this dude Tryce, you meet him in the opening of the game, and by the end I still have no clue who the ♥♥♥♥ really is this, like how's this guy like what does he like doing other than helping me? Still cool guy though.
- Most Boss battles are too easy and sometimes over in seconds
- Map could be better, it would be useful to pin stuff like changing booth, chess pad area and some other things but it only shows graffiti spots and next mission objective
- Doesn't have cool narrator or any voice narration at all
- Would be cool if they went a bit more crazy and creative with character design, I didn't play Lethal League Blaze but they did pretty crazy characters there.
- I think if they locked styles to characters it would help give them some uniqueness and extra personality, but everyone can do skateboard, inline skates and bmx and everyone has the same exact movestyle
- Camera photos where a nice idea but photos taken have really bad quality. I'm not smart enough to understand why the photos have a limit (i think 40 or 50) but would be nice if it didn't have a limit. Also it bugged on me and can't scroll to the bottom of my photos it always gets stuck.
- The price was worth it for me but It's still 40euros, I can see why some people would feel it wasn't worth it. Unless you really like these types of games like JSR and Tony Hawk's pro skater and feel thrilled coming up with sick combos it's possible you won't feel justified in your purchase for the full price.
- You can't draw your own graffiti =,(
- Going back to JSRF and chill comboing in shibuya terminal isn't as fun anymore =,(

It was well worth giving this a second chance, i think it was a mistake expecting it to be JSR3, and it turned out in the end after given a fair chance it was a superior experience to what i had with JSR and JSRF. I still like those better for the music and characters, but I still think this is undeniably superior overall and way more fun.

(* I nominated this for Game of the Year Award, i'm updating review for the medal thing that required updating review of a nominated game)

I like it, it improves on so much from the Souls games, one of my biggest complaints with DS games was there aren't any waifus, but Elden Ring changes that. I think it beats Sekiro for me as my favorite From Software game after (spoiler ahead) putting a ring on Ranni the Witch.

I like Mechas a lot but so far MW5 has been really boring and disapointing. It feels arcady, the mechs don't feel like heavy machines, it's not immersive, there's UI elements littering the screen when you have a huge cockpit just for show, why aren't all these things incorporated into the cockpit, it would at least be more immersive and keep the screen cleaner. Mission objectives are basic and repetitive and battlefields too, there's rarely any interesting or tactically relevant architecture and geography, though I liked the urban city battles.
Also destroy base type objectives are silly as they require you to raze literaly the entire base to the ground, you can't just heavily damage the base, you have to delete everything and spend 10 minutes walking on houses like a giant steamroller making sure it becomes a perfectly flat ground all across. The soundtrack seems bland too but I can't comment on it as I turned it off and have been using a playlist with Neon Genesis Evangelion OST and others and it made the game a little more fun.

I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with MW5, it's just not fun for me.

One of the quickest refunds I've had, even the main menu had zero effort in it, they didn't even bother to align the buttons... Everything was disapointing and I won't get excited anymore for Nightdive Studios games, I'll wait for reviews to make sure it's not absolute trash whatever they come up with in the future.
