I love the Dynasty Warriors games, but I think this one has to be my new favorite of them. The gameplay is tight and dramatic with massive armies clashing (feels like what Koei intended for 9), the stories are concise and get the main points/ideas of the book across, but my favorite part has to be the chapter titles. They use the actual titles for certain chapters right from the book!

The main character you play as is a good outside reference for the story. Yes, you are involved in all the major events, but only as an observer or an officer. You're strong, but you're not a god like how a lot of games would make an OC character. You're an officer in an army and you watch the story play along. So for anyone who wants to experience the story of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, this one has to be the best one for that.

Overall, get the game. You won't regret it.

Early Access Review
Awesome way to spend an idle day, watching empires rise and fall. I can't seem to get wallpaper mode to work though. It glitches out before being stuck as a background task with nothing to show.

Other than that, super cool tool and I enjoy it a lot!

The game is good, story is great, and Jack is now one of my favorite FF characters, but it's laggy even on low settings. High is impossible to play at.

Good fun game to relax with while casually whacking enemies and making Mr. Narrator yell at you for not following his arrows

Fantastic game, love everything about it. Story is good (if a bit basic, but not a bad thing in this case), music is amazing, but my favorite thing about the game are the characters. The interactions they have with one another give a lot of life to the game and the characters themselves. Another plus is that, when the characters are talking out in the field, THEY MOVE! They act like normal people instead of being still and having sounds leave their closed mouths. Plus having each of them have their own ways of speaking tells you a lot about the characters without the game explicitly telling you aside from the basic introductions each characters give each other.

Good game, but TERRIBLE performance. Even at low settings It's janky and lagging, and I have a 2080 Super. Wait for performance fixes, but they probably won't happen seeing as how most companies don't seem to want to fix these minor issue

Please don't be confused by the dislike. The soundtrack and artbook are both very good, and the soundtrack deserves a listen.

HOWEVER, the fact you buy the soundtrack but can't download the files is frustrating. It's all in the game too, not an extra program, and you don't get any options such as shuffle, repeat track, repeat all tracks, solo track. Each track plays on a constant loop.

Koei, if you somehow read this, PLEASE let us download the files. I want to be able to experience good songs on my phone while I'm at work to make me excited to play the game when I get home.

Honestly, the game is great. Halo is, as always, a great series. The gameplay in infinite is so smooth and everything just feels nice in it. The only downside is not being able to see your challenges on the pause screen.

Great game, especially with all of the DLCs. While I'm usually not one to be excited for DLCs, as usually I feel they should have been added to the game originally (though I understand the intent behind them for the most part), they add a lot to the game and allow even greater customization and tactics to expand your empire and profit from the galaxy. The music fits the mood and is also great to listen to while studying or doing work.

The many ways to customize your empire make it enjoyable and you can get sucked into it. Want to be diplomatic? Go right ahead, nothing will stop you. Want to wage war on the entire galaxy? Good luck to you, and may your victories be many.

Unlike most other strategy games I've played, conquest and war aren't the sole factor to winning, or even playing the game. You could go your whole campaign without even building a military (though having a small one to drive off pirates is recommended in my experience), and simply focus on gaining resources and maintaining your empire from within or allying with other empires to better both of you at once, and that alone makes this the best grand strategy game I've ever played.

Plus, it's in space! And that is super cool!

UPDATE 4/15/2021: The new expansion Nemesis released just a couple hours ago and I have to say it made a great game even better! Not only are there now even more ways to interact with other empires, but now you have to go through the galaxy to find how big they are and what their civilization is like, what their strengths are, and who they are aligned with/against, among other things. The new Espionage system really goes into what you can learn and how you can influence another empire, but be warned: they can and will do the same to you. Overall, the new update and expansion provide even more hours of fun and enjoyment, and makes you feel like you truly run and manage your own space age civilization.

Game feels worse than most MMOs, the classes are gender locked, setting equipment is a pain, there are multiple menus you have to go through just to find something, combat is decent, but not as smooth or enjoyable as it could be, the missions keep on repeating.

However, the character customization when you select your character is nice, but again, too many menus and it gets overwhelming with every single option and having to scroll back down when you close out of the tab.
