I enjoyed it even more than GTA V and the fact that it was released earlier makes the quality of the game even more admirable.

Initially it may seem bland but slowly you realize that the context, the map and the characters are all well characterized in an engaging storyline that kept me more glued to the screen than the GTA V one, especially because even in terms of gameplay some aspects are in my opinion better, such as the driving physics and the slightly off-centered vehicles camera that makes everything more cinematic.

Everything feels alive thanks to the fact that you can create and maintain bonds with friends and establish relationships, this means that there are plenty of activities to do ranging from simple outings to doing jobs in order to increase their respect level, this is an interesting concept that if it's high enough grants you rewards and unique abilities from each one of your friends.

There are also various side missions where you can be a cop or a hitman and various random encounters which add even more to this great world that still holds up after 15 years, even graphically!
