Really nice coop timing based puzzle platformer. Keeps introducing new mechanics, puzzles never get stale. Cute and heartwarming story. Get it and play it with a friend asap!

Seriously though, story is surprisingly deep for what initially appears to be a rick and morty episode. Your choices seem to matter and each of for "supporting characters" has a unique dialogue for every story beat. The world of the game, despite being absurd is actually quite believable and consistent. There's a TON of side content not critical to the story: npcs react to your actions, weird alien shows are on tvs everywhere you go, References to previous events and in-universe culture are commonplace.

Combat is fun and I find myself using the entire arsenal when fighting which is rare for me. Bosses were a highlight, introducing new mechanics and toying with your expectations every time. Enemies feel alive, reacting to your actions in combat in a unique manner. Snipers give up when you come close, tiny dudes run away in fear when their friends are killed and elite guys teleport away from your charged attacks.

Upgrades are significant and game changing, so looking for secrets is really rewarding. That ties into metroidvania aspect of the game where you revisit previous areas, using combat upgrades for traversal and puzzle solving. Platforming is surprisingly fluid which meshes well with the frantic pace of the shootouts and lets you cheese some puzzles.

TL;DR
If you can tolerate rick and morty humor there is a solid 15 hour action adventure waiting for you here
