Exo One?
More like Sexo One. Because game is good.
A bit on the short side though, ~3h of fun locomotion with story sprinkled in

When I started ER I was really hyped. Getting a nostalgic feeling every time I encountered something from previous games made the performance issues tolerable. Midgame is about rolling the dice if you get something absolutely astonishing or another case of reused content while exploring. Endgame is suffering and balance issues.

List of the "mechanics" they've brought back from previous games and how you deal with them:

Mechanic
Cheese
Bloodborne hyperaggressive bosses
Bloodhound Step ash of war
DS1 moveset vs DS3 enemies
Shields actually work in the endgame
Gank bosses from DS2
Ash summons / AOW AOE
Sekiro bosses with multiattacks
Outrange or stunlock
Chunky healthbars (courtesy of guardian dragon)
Bleed
Hidden content (like half the game is behind fog walls)
Google
Pre-DS FIX DS1 Blight Town performance
Playing offline with EAC disabled
DS1 PVP
Embrace meta builds or suffer
DS2 powerstancing
Not even a problem - use it
Faith builds
Dragon breath + arcane
No Sekiro hook for Sekiro levels
Horse parkour (shadows jump twice)
DS3 multi-phase bosses that oneshot you phase 2
Get summoned to test attacks
Bloodborne arcane with no arcane spells
It's actually DS3 luck - good for endgame scaling
DS2 invisible enemies
AoE them to death

Don't buy before they fix the performance issues. Also be aware that this is the most and the least soulsy game in the series

Edit after 100% and 3 different playthroughs:
Game is BS if you play fair. If you outBS the game it becomes laughably easy, there is no in-between

Goes in human body, much like soap does!
(might be too short for the price)

for real though, it's a 2h narrative experience with some replayability - get it on sale

Ubisoft Sandbox with half baked mechanics. Some quests are killer, some of your decisions actually matter.
The game is currently not worth the price. This early access version is a unique experience you might not wanna miss out on though.

Only buy if you enjoy bugs, breaking games or feeling uncomfortable knowing that cyberpunk is no longer science "fiction".

wake me up when DLCs come out

Campaign is cool

Online is Impossible to play without friends. Takes like 10 minutes to load, another 10 to find a game. And then you just get booted for no reason

Edit: heard the load times were fixed

I didn't ask for this
... But I like it

At the first glance one may believe that this is a space ninja beat'em up with guns.
It is.

It also is a sort of game one would use a guide for. Extensive guide, with pencil remarks scribbled between the lines, mad graphs, ancient runes and satanic glyphs popping here and there.

My only advice for the new players who are already reasonable enough to check out the reviews before going in -
find an experienced player / clan / ancient AI motherly figure to help you out

THE PROS
  • the community is amazing, and we're talking about an online game
  • gameplay loop is a solid A+/10 - chopping bad guys up feels extremely rewarding and novel even after 2K hours
  • the variety of intersecting/overarching systems create various metagames to sate your inner nerd

THE CONS
  • grind is real - expect sinking a considerable amount of your time doing the same stuff
  • graphics are not quite next gen AAA, you'll have to settle with two A's on this
  • the UI is spooky without a helping hand / rigorous research via trial and error

At this point you are probably asking this question: "Should I buy this game?"
- No, it's absoultely free. However, getting a friend and venturing in for some jolly cooperation is an absolute must.
