Gives the best dark skin options, if you like armors that look spec ops without much else, you'll love the armors brought by this DLC

Halo forerunner weapons but now in DRG, Some of the skins are super good, the colors aren't that interesting.

Any Zhukov users should steer clear, the zhukov skin is the worst looking thing in all of gaming history

Aside from a few audio SFX issues and a few noises being louder than they should, there isn't much within the game to classify as "bugs" per say.

The art style of the game is very unique and pretty, the narration is excellent and the story is very engaging from start to finish.

Replayability is a bit of a 50/50 as the narration and map goals are mostly always the same, save for a few random events. but even those are restricted to their own respective maps, once you've played through a stage a few times you've mostly seen everything there is to see in that map and there is little reason to keep playing it.

My only real grievance with the game is the way there is no pronounciation between idle world sprites and interactable things unless they're story related (in which case they glow) you'll be running through a bunch of rooms littered with corpses and random garbage on the floor that all look identical, but whoopsie one or two of them actually are lootable and you can only really know which ones by walking directly over them and seeing if the interaction button pops up. After playing the same map for some hours you can start to pick up which sprites around the world are interactable mostly from the way they're placed and their size and distance to other sprites but when starting out, it's very easy to miss the entire existence of these interactables and I think that's not very good.

Overall the music, story and art style of this game gets a 9/10 from me, gameplay gets 8/10.
The characters are all very different to play and I enjoyed leveling all of them past 20 to unlock all special passives.

I would recommend getting this game, It's very fun for quite some hours!

Spiritfarer is not simply a game. No, Spiritfarer is a pure work of art.
If you're looking through reviews for the game thinking if you should buy it or not. Buy it. Do it. You will not regret it for a second.

It is not often one comes upon such an absolute gem of a game, I feel my very soul was moved by how beautiful everything about this game was.

The soundtrack, the visuals, the story, the characters, the mechanics, the platforming and the very core of the game are all absolutely magnificent to a point that should be criminal. This game consumed my days from the moment I bought it, a game so wonderful and enjoyable I never wanted it to end. But alas after 35 hours of playing I've finished my first play through. I will for sure be coming back for seconds, even the end credits song blew my mind with how beautiful it was from start to finish.

There isn't much that can be said about the game that would come close to how amazing it is, there are no words and no descriptions that could effectively encapsulate the beauty of what this game is.

Hats off to the devs and everyone who worked on Spiritfarer. This has been the single most enjoyable game I've played in 2020 and 2021 so far.

I tried completing the game and had high hopes after hearing the beautiful soundtrack upon launching the game and whilst in the menu. The game looks very aesthetically pleasing and the rain effect, while very simple it looks extremely pretty. However sadly that is where the good points end.
I could not force myself to complete the game after the horrid "chase" sequence, I already had trouble bringing myself to keep playing the game before that point.

So where to even begin with this?
The game feels like an asset rip and a half, it lives off of references to other games rather than by its own traction. The cursor is a direct copy of what is seen in the "walking dead" franchise, the first plasma cutter animation is a straight 1:1 copy paste of the plasma cutter animation in "Alien: Isolation".

The "story" pacing is as good as oblivion NPC dialogue. Speaking of, the very first interaction you have with another being feels like it was written by our modern day AI. While this may have been intentional, the dialogue is not only horridly written but executed horribly, if this was the intended way then it was a horrible decision, I doubt AI this advanced would be facing similar grammatical issues and lack of any care for the other person's dialogue in an interaction.

The second encounter you have with other beings, being the police after a shuttle crash. If you inform them that you attempted to help the pilot and just stumbled across the ship (like you did) the police will automatically just disregard that information and act as if you just revealed the whole entire soviet war plans and start talking back to you in a scripted fashion (assuming you took a set path of dialogue rather than whatever path it is you took) This is just dumb.

During dialogue interactions characters will randomly skip crucial information and just pretend like you already know everything while in reality you know nothing... but oh whoops your character is completely on the same page and then you as the player are just left there baffled as to wtf you just witnessed or what is going on.
Here is an actual example of a dialogue exchange that happens early on in the game:
You: "What else can I do while I am here?"
Person who you just met and helped in the span of 2 minutes: "Nothing for now. Thank you once again."
You: "I am glad to be of help."
*a complete stranger enters the scene behind you*
Stranger: "RT, Nick needs your help. Please speak with him."
You: "Good."
*stranger leaves scene*
*end scene*
Now if you're wondering, why does this stranger know your name already when you just got here? Who is nick? Why is nick needing your help "good"?
Let me tell you, that is precisely what you SHOULD be thinking because you as the player will more than likely have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue either because you haven't even realized these people exist and you're just trying to orient yourself with this brand new place you just got in 5 minutes ago.
I could go on and on about how badly written the "story" and dialogue in the game are but let's just leave it at that for now.

The Soundtrack for the game is decent, there is nothing bad I could say about it but not really anything good either. The menu soundtrack was very well done but that's about it.

The visuals are well executed and suitable for the atmosphere, while not as stylized as most similar games the graphics of this game are not an eyesore and at times simplicity can be very pretty so nothing wrong there.

Now, as I mentioned. There is a part in the game where your job is to drive a car, this is very simple all you have to do is dodge trees as the car will drive itself forward at a set speed and acceleration. For some reason you can also "jump" with your car but there is no realistic reason to ever use this function for some reason?
Now you might think that since your primary goal is to dodge the trees that smashing into a tree at very high speeds would be detrimental to your car as you've seen smashed cars that have hit light posts and random rubbish previously? Well no. Smashing head first into a solid tree will simply remove your speed and bump you like you're a ping pong ball hitting one of the bouncy things. There is absolutely no downside to this and you can just simulate the life of a ping pong ball as much as your heart desires by just ramming into everything you see and simply being bounced around harmlessly.
From there on, you suddenly (without a reason nor story related explanation) get noticed by an "outdated drone" that was for some reason patrolling an abandoned bridge outside the main city limits which was said to not be in use by anyone (what?). and this drone decides that since you are driving a car under a bridge (speaking of, the drone never saw you. But the scene camera did so that might as well count, right?) you must be shot immediately. The drone then gives chase to you and you must dodge the same trees while also dodging painfully slow flying projectiles shot by the drone which is child's play. And don't worry about getting hit by said projectiles either for some reason the civilian grade every day car you have has the health of a miniature floating fortress made out of solid titanium.
The chase then ends with the drone flying into a tree and blowing up, very cliche but in this case the drone wasn't even flying fast nor was there any reason for it to go into said tree (it was a lone tree among a wide variety of lone trees with plenty of space between them). To which your character reacts by instantly reaching the destination and proclaiming "That must have been an outdated drone otherwise I would not have stood a chance at living without weapons" Well fancy you'd say that now. During the entire driving sequence and chase sequence absolutely no dialogue is exchanged and you're only accompanied by low quality pew pew noises, the presumable ping pong bouncing of your car and the low hum of your engine alongside the soundtrack for the driving and chase sequences. Which also feel out of place for some reason.

Overall i'd give this game an unhappy smiley in the back of RT out of 10.
I would not recommend this game even if it was free to play.
