PLEASE NOTE: Everything you see below is still a work in progress. Final appearances, features and functionality can (and will) change before release.
Some mothballed documents in the Planetary Surveys Archive make mention of a “Boneyard of Hoxxes,” but Management has always dismissed it as an early surveyor’s error. Speculation on this topic has been discouraged.
All evidence suggests that the Ossuary Depths have remained virtually undisturbed for several centuries. The only proof that there once was life down here is the gargantuan bones piled in the caverns, now caked in centuries of dust. It’s quiet as the grave, more catacomb than cave.
In addition to the usual host of enemies, mining operations in the Ossuary Depths will bring you up against a couple of nasty new specimens.

You’ll need to locate and excavate deposits of this fossilized treasure, and you can expect to find several deposits in each mission. Once you've found some, it's time to prepare the dig site.
When you've excavated around the Resinite Deposit, Mission Control will send down a supply pod equipped with four lift thrusters, which you'll need to fasten to the sides of the crystal. Once that's done, you just stand back and enjoy the light show while the thrusters laser-carve their way up to orbital extraction.
This new primary objective is set to be one of our more straightforward mission formats, a callback to the OGs like Mining Expedition and Egg Hunt. And, as a fun fact, the mission concept is almost as old as DRG itself. Some of the earliest recorded voicelines reference "calling down the thruster pods" for this mission.
The season event introduces the third Ossian enemy to appear on Hoxxes: The Bone Collector, a sort of insectoid prospector now liable to be found in any biome of Hoxxes. This passive creature will not attack on contact, focused instead on collecting remains for eventual storage in the Ossuary Depths. You’ll need to locate it and chase it down into the labyrinthian burrows where it hides its precious harvest.
It wouldn't be a new season without a new Performance Pass. We'll be introducing another full tree of unlockable hats, facial hair, resources, and of course the season's new Weapon Framework: Diesel Driven.
