I really wanted to like this game. I put a lot of time into this game trying and trying to get it to work normally but at the end of the day there's nothing I can do without an official patch that fixes things. Here's just a couple of the things I've noticed that have really burnt me out of the game:
-The loading times are BAAAAAAAD. Getting into the game itself takes a good bit, and then picking any of the options on the main menu takes even longer. I'm talking 3-4 minutes to load a simple 1v1 match between default superstars in a default arena, no CAWs or anything installed.
-Navigating Community Creations is as clunky as ever, hope you like sitting through menu after menu trying to find who you want through the trash tag search system instead of just like... a search bar.
-Online play is pretty broken, no point in trying.
-Nothing really new in Universe other than a mode where you pick a superstar and play as them in like a career mode way but it's nothing you couldn't just do by playing the default mode and only doing matches featuring that person.
-GM Mode. Oh man GM Mode. It's easily the most fun mode when it works. When you get into it, it's a really fun mode that you can get sucked into for hours, booking your ideal show and trying to beat the competition. It's so good! When it works. See, GM Mode, more than anything else in the game, likes to crash and render the save file essentially useless. I have played GM Mode, probably 9 or 10 times. I've been able to beat it 1 time. The rest, I've gotten significantly far in and then whoops sorry, 2k doesn't give enough of a ♥♥♥♥ about the player base to do anything about it despite it being an issue since DAY ONE. It's such a shame because the mode is so fun but there's absolutely nothing I can do about it other than avoid the mode because I know it's gonna crash on me after I've already put in a significant amount of time.

Ultimately, I can't recommend the game in it's current state. It's not all bad, MyRise is a really good time and the general changes to the gameplay are really fun, but it's all covered in so much garbage that you're better off just waiting for the devs to do something about it and finding something better to sink your time in.

as much as everyone likes to whine about this game, it's not that bad. it's not as amazing as everyone wanted it to be, but honestly i think it was doomed with how high expectations were. if you like fun action oriented open world games, give it a shot, just don't come into it looking for the second coming of god like most people seem to do
