Playing this game in Immersive mode makes for a very tense and enjoyable experience. Fighting some of the drones can be a real pain, but finding equipment and not having to grind it out for a good piece of gear is very refreshing and makes for a great gameplay experience.

Early Access Review
It has the feel of Halls of Torment, with the God boons of Hades. Still feels a bit early in how it's been developed, but the road map shows a lot to come and I'm looking forward to it. It's worth the price and a lot of fun.

One of the best RPGs I've played in a long time. It really checks all the boxes for me: Exploration, character customization, good combat system (even if some fights become trivial due to builds), enjoyable story, and plenty of secrets to hunt down and complete.
My only main complaint about this game is that the crystal system feels very trivial in the sense of getting the right crystals is inherently too random. Along with having to upgrade a piece of gear to use your crystals, only to get a new piece of gear to replace it in the very next area, causing you to have to repeat this process over and over again. I found myself just saving my crystals until I was near the end and having all the final gear I needed to upgrade first before even really getting back into the crystal upgrading.
All this being said, I highly recommend getting this game. Get it on sale. Get it for normal price. If you like a good old fashioned 16 bit styled RPG that reminds you of the days of Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, you owe it to yourself to play this gem of a game.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to gun down enemies with 3 magic lasers in a single turn? How about 4 times that in a single round if you want to become a walking magic machine gun? No? Then you are sad and I have no need to talk to you further. Get the game. Become a magic death machine.

You get to yank a monster to you with some lightning and then punch it over and over until it explodes. What more can you ask for? How about a railgun rifle, a shotgun that creates orbs of traveling electricity that float around dealing damage over time, or being able to teleport around zapping monsters with your fists? Except the revolver. We don't talk about that.
