I wanted to like this game, but it falls flat in too many aspects to be enjoyable. So, let's make this quick:
Pro:
- Visuals
The map design looks good, enemies are distinct, good gore/dismemberment options.
Background elements were usually well designed and lit. Building placement didn't make all that much sense though.
- Worldbuilding
I enjoyed the depiction of Vampire society and bestiary entries.
The many NPCs that had dialog improved the atmosphere greatly.

Con:
- Combat
This is what should have been great, but it is just boring. You have so many options, but they are feel so singular. No ability or weapon combos into anything else, except for stunning enemies to set up another strike. Each ability is mapped to a different button and you have so many, I forgot to use half of them on the regular.
You also have only one melee options among six ranged weapons. There are no melee combos to compensate for this, you just spam light or heavy attacks. Melee combat against elite opponents feels extremely unrewarding.
Abilities/weapons not recharging outside of combat is a genuinely stupid idea. The ranged weapons take so long to recharge that you might not even use them for an entire fight.
- Boring upgrades
I didn't even *want* half the upgrades available. There is no point to purchasing sticky grenades.
- Dodge, Block, Kick
You get three options to avoid getting hit, all mapped to three different buttons, and it's just overwhelming, while you are trying to juggle all your other weapons at the same time.
Additionally, several of the late game enemies attack using projectile spam, and it's frustrating to be locked into just dodging for several seconds or getting chunked instantly. It doesn't even feel rewarding, because the interval between spam attacks is so short.
- Level design
It both encourages and discourages exploration at the same time, because the entire map is cordoned off into small little arenas, with minimal backtracking. Not sure if you should pick the left or the right path? Well, you just missed a collectible, because you can't go back. These one-way-gates are also super pointless and feel absurdly restrictive as to where the developers allow you to go.
- The Swamp Level
This one deserves a mention as a standalone negative. It was so boring. Trudging through a boring looking environment, doing boring puzzles that require zero thinking.

don't take it to seriously and you will have a great time

Primarily got this for multiplayer, and it is borderline unplayable, and buggy to hell and back. Contextual movement prompts *disappeared before my very eyes* and stranded me, objective progress was erased on checkpoint restarts or *key progression items were removed from my inventory,* and it lagged like nothing else.

Also the story is *hilariously terrible and cliche,* with bizarre undercurrents that I doubt were in any way intentional. The villain keeps changing her motivation and ideology between lines in a way that is never commented on. Very "Bane Syndrome"
