A beautiful marriage of sekiro and doom eternal, with a hint of bulletstorm. Extremely fast paced and high octane it scratches the same itch those games do. Highly acrobatic combat focused around mobility. You have a lasso that allows you to wrangle enemies around the map, a teleport with no cooldown that allows you to teleport anywhere on the map, and a high power pneumatic gauntlet that allows you to punch enemies into other enemies or enviromental hazards.

These are the main tools you'll be using alongside a pistol, a shotgun, a rifle, a grenade launcher, a flamethrower, a minigun and a crossbow.

Each level is split into multiple arenas, and each arena is composed of multiple waves, where the game will spawn an assortment of regular enemies + bosses for you to fight. Each individual boss has its own attack pattern that you have to either block, dodge, roll or interrupt. The main gameplay loop consists of you splitting your attention between regular enemies (that you can throw into the bosses for big damage or execute for health and energy) and the multiple bosses.

The variety in the encounters comes from how the game mixes up what bosses spawn on each arena, e.g. encounter A might have the boss that heals enemies if left uninterrupted and the boss that spawns extra enemies, or the boss that buffs enemeies and the shield boss, or all of them at the same time.

I highly recommend you play it on hard for your first playthrough and evil for new game+. The game is balanced well enough where if you play properly and learn the patterns of the enemies you can pretty much get hit and the added threat makes the entire experience refreshingly satisfying.

By the time I did my ng+ playthrough on evil, enemies killed me in 3 hits, but I died like three times total because I had learned all the attack/block/dodge/interrupt/roll patterns, contrast with my first playthrough on hard taking 15 tries to finish a miniboss.

I seriously cannot recommend this game enough, blows my mind that it didn't blow up. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an endless mode. I finished it twice, once on hard and once on evil and I was still left wanting more.

Přestože jsem ke hře přistupoval s jistou rezervovaností, velmi rychle jsem si uvědomil, že se dobře bavím :)
Hra mi ani jednou nespadla a žádný bug nenastal. Vše bez problémů na epické rozhraní (RTX 4070).

Vampires in the American West. This was actually a really nice throwback to the action games of the mid 2000s. Pretty basic action hero stuff but I liked it a lot, kind of the B type game that you just don't see anymore. I hope there is a sequel eventually.
