This game is an acid trip.
I first discovered this game through my YouTube recommended feed, and the game looked interesting so I made a mental note about it and moved on as to avoid spoilers if I ever did care to play the game. But then it KEPT popping up in my YouTube feed and I said, “FINE I’ll play it!” and besides, I LOVE some good barbecue. I am the resident grill-master in my neighborhood so surely this’ll be enjoyable.
This game is not about making the perfect rotisserie.
In fact, I couldn’t tell you what this game was about. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun, or… interesting to say the least. Look, I can’t really describe it, you have to play it yourself.
The game is really only a demo right now as it only has one chapter… but it is free, so what do you have to lose?

Additional note:
I think that the game needs to address the missable achievements is some way. I don’t want to have to make a new save file every time I miss an achievement. It’s not that bad right now the first chapter is kind of short, but down the line, I want to see a solution. I’m sure the devs are working on making the hub world an actual hub world in the next major update.

This is a quaint little DLC. It expands on the lore of Dave the Diver quite a bit which I did enjoy. For it's price tag, it is kind of short, though. The mini-games you do play through are revisitable, so it isn't all for naught. I found it quite enjoyable anyway, playing Dave the Diver was a nice way to spend an afternoon. Anyway... I may just have to check out this Like a Dragon series.

This game is perfection in 2D platforming. If you’re a fan of 2D platformers and you haven’t played Pizza Tower, it’s pizza time.
The movement of the game feels very satisfying and fluid. Even when you’re just starting out and not very good at it. When you’re going back and P-Ranking all the levels, you and Peppino feel like one.
The first time I played a level, I got enough adrenaline to feel like I could crash through walls in real life. The story is goofy, so if you’re looking for a literary masterpiece, I don’t know, go play Hollow Knight or somthin’, you aren’t going to find anything serious here. I’ve never played games for the story; I’ve always prioritized fun gameplay.
I dig the music. Each song is masterfully crafted, befitting the level it was made for. The OST is so good, I listen to the songs on my own Spotify playlist nearly every day.
This pixel art style is borderline perfect and dare I say timeless. Peppino is a perfectly designed and animated protagonist. He conveys his emotions very well through his animations. The way the enemies react to you moving at high speeds is a very nice added detail.
If nothing else, I did learn one thing by playing this game: Don’t get in the way of an angry Italian man.

This is the Secret of Monkey island. Quite possibly the greatest game of all time. Intuitive puzzles, funny dialogue, and a story to die for. (Ultimate Talkie Edition is the definitive way to play). I played through this game when I was eight and to this day, I still remember every puzzle, every bit of dialogue that Guybrush ever said. This game pioneered the SCUMM system into something more user friendly. This game pretty much single-handedly saved the point-and-click adventure genre. It actually hand holds you a lot more than other point-and-click games of the time. With beautiful music and timeless graphics (again, talking about the Ultimate Talkie Edition,) This is a must-play on any gamer's list. So what are you waiting for? Beat the rush! Buy The Secret of Monkey Island Today!

I remember when I first saw the announcement trailer for Dave the Diver in a Nintendo Direct. The whole idea of a gameplay loop of catching fish during the day and serving them up as sushi at night sounded like such an awesome idea. I needed that game now. Then I promptly forgot about it. Then I built my computer and got it on Steam.
Anyway, the story is straightforward but good. Like I said earlier, the gameplay loop is very satisfying and unique. It can feel a little inconvenient to traverse the menus at times, but that shouldn’t put you off from playing this game. It has an adorable pixel style with equably likable characters and impressive animations. There are surprisingly a lot of boss battles, and they’re all shockingly unique adding to the entertainment and the excitement you feel when you’re about to face a new one. This game could definitely become a timeless classic, I know this has definitely become one of my favorite games.
I must say, the free DLC for this game is incredible! First, it’s free. Second, it’s FREE! The Dredge DLC is amazing. It works surprisingly well. The aberrated fish, the sailing, and the dredging were implemented surprisingly faithfully to the original. The Godzilla DLC is immaculate. Just a mini side-story with a giant kaiju battle at the end. I couldn’t ask for more. Did I mention that all of this DLC is free? The Dave and Friends DLC was a nice way to respark interest in the game. The Balatro crossover was actually really fun and I might have to get the full game (marketing successful). I don’t know who Mxmtoon is it involved a cute little sidequest and some songs. I didn’t really use the Potion Craft DLC. And keep in mind these are all free.
If you want to go for all achievements, the game is quite long, but if you just want to reach the end of the story, that could be done relatively quick. If you want a fun, goofy sushi adventure, this game is your one stop shop.

This is a quaint little fishing game… If you ignore the Lovecraftian horror and the absolute tragedy that is this story. This game only appeared on my radar because of its crossover with Dave the Diver. Throughout most of the game, you’re on the edge of your seat, especially when the panic meter is maxed out. Even if your ship is maxed out, if you get careless, you will die.
One of the coolest parts of the game was the built in free-cam (the camera). It was like I was making my own episode of Boundary Break every time I saw something new (if you know, you know). I think more games should have this.
The story is pretty abstract and up for interpretation. Throughout playing the game, I didn’t know what was going on. All I knew was I needed to catch fish and treasure. After I beat the game, I looked up what the story was, and I still don’t understand. (Is that good storytelling? I don’t know.)
I played the Iron Rig DLC in conjunction with the main game and I think it elevated the experience. Inventory management with the Ironhaven Crates was a pain (before I discovered that they went to the Iron Rig). In fact, halfway through the game, my axillary storage filled up, so inventory management on your boat and in your storage is a big part of this game.
I did the Pale Reach DLC after completing everything in the main game/Iron Rig. The Pale Reach was just okay. But navigating icebergs is definitely a unique experience that you won’t experience anywhere else in the game.
Even if you were to just play the game, reach the end, and be done with it, this game will leave a lasting impression. Although the menus can be a little clunky at times, this game is not very long, so I you are looking for a short and sweet game to play through, this is your game.

If you liked exploring Tartarus in the base game, this DLC is for you! This is basically 166 or so more floors of Tartarus. In Episode Aigis' dungeon, The Desert of Doors, the scenery changes after every gatekeeper battle, which made the dungeon less monotonous than Tartarus. Sure, there were only 5 sceneries it cycled through, but each one felt fresh every time.
Lore and stuff was pretty sparse throughout the 166 or so floors of the dungeon. It was only until after that and after a few mandatory boss fight that it started pouring on the lore. I thought the way it further developed and explained the actions in the main game was interesting… If I remembered any of it.
I played on the Heartless difficulty and it was fairly difficult, as advertised. Now, the optional super boss, on the other hand, was very difficult. It required a lot of grinding and a lot off attempts but I can say, “I beat him on Heartless mode.” Because I did.
If you didn’t get the base game or didn’t particularly like exploring Tartarus, you can pass on this. But if you need just a little more to scratch the Persona 3 itch, go for it.

This is a fine game. It's was entertaining to say the least. It even tried to teach me a lesson about not giving up and putting yourself out there. However, the game doesn't last very long, even if you get all ten achievements. Typically, I believe, you should try to get one hour of gameplay for every dollar you spend on or in a game. Unless you're going to replay this game down the road, I'd wait for a sale. I got the game on sale for 79¢ (with the one dollar an our thing, this correlates to 47 minuets) so I think I got my money's worth. Oh and, don't forget to switch your friend status to invisible.

I love this game. I beat it on Merciless difficulty and beat the new game+ (even on Merciless it's not very difficult) and 100%ed it. It's got a great OST and flashy animations. This game is a looker. Supposedly the story isn't perfect but I never play games for the story, most of it probably went over my head anyway. Also supposedly this game is significantly worse than the original/FES/Portable (gameplay-wise), since I've never played any of those, I couldn't say. The gameplay can be pretty boring and repetitive at times though especially on a NG+ run where you've already seen everything. I will be getting and playing through the DLC despite the price when it comes out because I love this game.
TLDR:
If you've played Persona 3 the original/FES/Portable you don't need to play this game. If your just getting into the Persona series or have never played Persona 3 in any capacity, this is a great, albeit pricey, place to start.
