This is an excellent survival game, don't expect a procedural generated map like most survival games are. This is a whole facility that the devs have crafted by hand and has an amazing sense of atmosphere to it.

It feels like a mix of Half Life 1 with your primary goal of escaping this facility with the survival/crafting mechanics of most other games in the genre. It has an awesome sense of progression with the creepy sense of the SCP foundation with many different types of monsters creeping around alongside human enemies bent on taking out every survivor in the facility after they attack it.

The devs are great at communicating updates to players; the last big update gave huge areas to explore and make your way through (the Hydroplant and Dark Reactor updates specifically) and they periodically put out mini-updates between them with singular world/dimensions to explore (the Halloween and Christmas updates were amazing and they added a bunch of cool tools and new things to make as well.)

If you like survival crafting games or games with an old-school graphical look, this game will be a blast to play with single or multiplayer.

I avoided this game for years because I wasn't sure if I would like it. My first factory game was Satisfactory and I liked the 3D building in that game that I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a 2D experience......I was wrong. It's just as good, it's different in that you gotta think of ways to layout your factory in only an X and Y axis, no vertical building is in this game.

It's not called the "Greatest Factory Game" for nothing, it earned this reputation and you'll definitely dedicate a lot of time playing the game because it's that deep.

Honestly, it's just a great freaking RPG. Probably the absolute top 3 of all time, nothing will likely dethrone it anytime soon. It's worth the full price as you will get a ton of content, character options, interesting story, amazing gameplay, interesting and very in-depth systems that interact with a ton of things that you don't normally think of. It feels like a love letter to Dungeons and Dragons that was made on a AAA budget.

It's a fun shooter game, multiplayer has a few basic maps right now, same for the co-op but the gameplay loop of each mode is really well done. I know more maps are on the way but right now, it's a solid game with a good player base, never had any trouble connecting to or staying in a match.

I've been playing this since it was an Epic Exclusive and I got over 600 hours in that version and I can say I fully encourage people to get this game.

Unlike Factorio, which I think will be the big one people are coming from; there will be some differences to keep in mind:

1. There are no defense structures or turrets to worry about, your buildings will never be destroyed by anyone except your own hubris (this will happen a lot, trust me)

2. Resources are infinite, you can mine one spot of copper forever but that isn't necessarily a benefit, you will need to figure out how to use all your resources spots efficiently because the factory will grow and boy, will it grow!

3. On top of growing your factory, verticality will be a factor in your planning. It's 3D in this game so you can grow outward and upward, remember that when you experiment with how you build.

I love this game so much since I saw the Space Elevator animation and I've followed it since it was first announced. It's one of the top games on that list of Factory games to play.

I held off on buying this for so many years but after Worlds Part 1 came out and the huge surge of players and people talking about it, I felt it was time to take the plunge.

I already have 71 hours in this game after maybe 2 weeks of playing. This game is amazing.

That being said, you have to make sure you go into it knowing that this is a true sandbox game. You decide what you want to do, how you want to do it, and where you want to do it. There are no quests that guide you through a majority of the content apart from basic quests that introduce you to it. Everything else is on you.

Having said that, it's a love letter of a game to see Hello Games go from a terrible launch back in 2016 with little to none of the promised game systems to seeing them go above and beyond with what they originally planned and offer it to players FOR FREE!

I say again, these content updates, the kind you would expect to receive from "name-a-live-service-here," Hello Games gives to the community for free! If you want to buy this game, know it's going to an extremely good developer who treats their community with more respect than we deserved originally. They are amazing people.

I like it, but for right now, I refunded it because of two main reasons:

1. The UI is just really cheap looking, I'll repurchase it after that is taken care of (as of this writing, they are working on it according to the roadmap)

2. I want to see what is coming in future updates before I commit to another factory game.

The actual gameplay is good, its a factory game, but compared to Factorio, Satisfactory, or Techtonica, I think that the game game has a good start but not $40 CAD (yet), I definitely think it's got a great Foundation (heh) for a really cool addition to the Factory game genre.

It's a really fun city builder. The theme of building a beaver society is a cute idea and every one of the buildings, management stats, and resources all build on that theme. I've held off on getting it for awhile (since Update 2) because I wanted to see where it would go and at the time of this review (Update 6 which is on experimental) the Devs have been doing an awesome job at giving unique and thoughtful updates to the game. Definitely worth a buy.

I really like this DLC, it feels like more of the base game with an extra shine to it. The layout of the town's feels better to traverse with the new lava mechanic to make water adding a whole new level of factory optimization to the game.

Do you like the original Hades? Did you commit more than single digit hours into it? You'll like this sequel then. Take this from someone who 100% completed all the original Hades achievements.

Pretty much every starting point (writing this a couple of weeks after it's release into Early Access) of this sequel is starting off at where Hades' systems left off. We already got 5 weapons to unlock, some aspects in game for each of those weapons, trinkets to unlock from our friends, and unique boss and stage mechanics. I haven't even gotten to the bottom floor yet (we're going down this time instead of up) and I'm super impressed with what I've seen so far.

10/10 a great starting point for a sequel to one of the best rogue-lites I've ever played.

Edit: The Olympic Update came out a few weeks ago and I finally go through the thing, a great update that gave us an extra weapon with a cool gameplay mechanic and more interactions with more gods, this game is looking so good.
