A cute a heck game. Online party can range from super chill to absolute chaos.

There seems to always be players in the lobby with the code 'peck'

This game kicked my ass several times, and hit me in the feels more times than I'd care to admit. Now that I've finished, I can't help but feel a mixture of sorrow and sastifaction.

For those who have yet to clear this game, or just gave up, I have a message:

I saw this through to the end. No matter how much suffering you may experience, I believe in you.

Development for this game has been abandoned. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I've seen so many people haviong fun with this game, but I just can't find it here... It doesn't help that the in game menus have NO mouse support. No cursor, not reponse to mouse movement, nothing. Why the menus are limited to the arrow keys and gamepad's only is rediculous, even if the game is a PC port.

Kinda like an inverse tower defese, in which you take back worlds from an ever advancing creep. I could easily see myself sinking hundreds of hours into this game.

All in all, first impressions don't make me want to continue playing this game. In a way, the combat reminds me a bit of Mass Effect 2, but set in a 1960s setting. Unfortunately, the combat is just wierd. The way move/attack/ability commands work is wonky, and the targeting can get stuck seemingly arbitrarily on cover.

Next up, the characters and acting. From what I've played (starting mission), I really didn't find any of the characters really likeable. Also, the voice work is just grating, feeling forced even. Throwing a 'Mass Effect'-styled dialogue wheel just doesn't help matters.

I understand a new approach was being attempted here, but as someone who enjoyed his time with UFO: Enemy Unknown (A.K.A. X-Com: UFO Defense), and Xcom: Enemy Unknown/Within, it just doesn't feel like this game was really meant for anyone.

Addendum: I can't progress past the first mission due to the game crashing at the elevator scene in what I'm assuming to be the first mission aside from the beginning of the game. Neither DX9 nor DX11 modes work.

I am using a core i7 4790K processor, 16GB of RAM and a GTX 970. There is no excuse for the crashes or instability when I EXCEED the reccomended specs.

A game that is having an identity crisis. On one hand, it wants to be an old-school style sequal to Duke Nukem 3d that we were waiting for for so long. On the other hand, it wants to appeal to the crowd of Modern Military Shooter players, and it definately shows. This is evident in the only 2 guns limit, and the regenerating health.

If you're using AMD hardware, don't expect this game to run terribly well.

EDIT: Review was true around release in 2014. This may no longer be the case. Your mileage may vary

A unique game, kinda like a kung-fu DDR game. I've had a lot of fun with this title, and will likely continue to do so.

However, no amitious game like this isn't without its problems. First: the game itself seems rather unstable. Random crashes, but no error messages of any sort to help diagnose the problem.

Second: the beat your Music mode is a welcome additon to the already varied mix of songs in the story mode. However, you have to manually sync the bpm of the song before it can be played. Also, the beat may not sync up correctly.

In short, this is a unique game that has great potential. However, the random crashes take away from the experience and importing music into the Beat Your Music mode may be a bit too involved for some.

I reccomend this, but beware the crashes.

(Side note, I'm using a Radeon HD 6850 card to play this game. Maybe it doesn't like the AMD hardware?)
