When you make me buy a game then you make it free to play you make me never buy anything from you again.

I absolutely loved this game before 2.0.

I've tried to love it again with each patch since then but I am sorry to say the patch ruined the game.

The beastmen are broken and awful, the combat is ruined, the game has more bugs than ever and the devs don't seem interested in fixing a damn thing. It was fun while it lasted.
RIP Vermintide.

More in the spirit of Banjo Kazooie than that Yook Laylee abortion. Buy this instead.

This game is bland, uninspired, poorly repackaged crap. You would find more originality and replay value in the newest installment of "five nights at freddies".

I have played the entire campaign with my friend. There is NO replay value. There are 2 objectives 90% of the time its "Calculations" where you sit in a place for up to TEN MINUTES with your thumb up your ass doing nothing. Terrible terrible writing. The world is beautifully made but the game play is repetative and boring, there is nothing they could do to fix this game short of almost a complete remake. Don't buy. Nothing about this game is thought out, there is text in areas clearly intended for dev debugging, there are random spots at the end of levels where you have to sit forever to end. Seriously don't buy this, go buy Vermintide 2 and give a company money that knows what it's doing and actually gives a ♥♥♥♥.

This game had such potential. I am so dissapointed.

Absolutely stupendous game.
I do not care about the politics of recent certain youtubers and a certain developers reactions to things they may or may not have said. It did not effect the game. I love these guys and hope for more.

18 hour update
Some of the magic from banjo series seems lost.
The combat is too easy, the enemies felt lazy and rushed with them all being skins on the same figures. What happened to being chased by a flying ear of corn? What happened to engaging NPCs like Gobi the camel and Gruntilda? the flight anywhere any time makes things too easy, every transformation is a machine except for the plant and the fish which were not fun to play and felt confined. In the banjo series you could leave the worlds as these creatures. The story is less compelling, the characters are less engaging. I am glad I bought the game and greatly enjoy it I just hope this was warmup for another more faithful game, P.S. Attractive females aren't a sexist symbol, there is only a monstrous tentacle girl and a refrigerator whose girth rivals that of most feminists.



Update as of 2/17/19

This game made me want to play a banjo sequel and disappointed me so heavily that I bought a Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Odyssey. The Mario title delivers everything promised by playtonic. You want to play a Banjo Sequel? It's Mario. Not Yooka Laylee.

Great game. The soundtrack sounded a lot like Grant Kirkhope so I looked it up and lo and behold it is! Love the art, the music and the gameplay. Playing this instead of Tom Clancys Division because unlike The Division this is actually a good game.

Running, de-sync and broken launcher simulator 9000. I want my money back.

Absolutely terrible game with nothing redeeming about it at all. It has been almost 2 years and I am still seething with hatred and anger. I will never buy another Ubisoft game again. If Ubisoft were to give me every game they ever made or will ever make for free I would still not play any of them.
