Fun game

A really good horror action game with a huge emphasis on combat. Not the scariest game in the world, but the game-play and story really get you hooked. Don't listen to all the negative nay-sayers.

MW 2019 was better.

This will be a banger when they fix the cheating problem

An homage and love letter to the legendary Resident Evil 4. This game is terrifying, and goes to places you won't expect. this game in every sense is a traditional Resident Evil game, even more so than 4. You will be doing lots of back tracking, puzzle solving, and have a feeling of dread as you run out of ammunition and supplies, making every bullet count.

Probably my favorite entry to date, it's so good

Run around for an hour without finding any warm clothes, food, weapons, DIE, spawn again far away from any towns and repeat

I played Scum for an hour. The game dropped me on a random mountain slope, where I had to run a full 5 minutes to reach the nearest road, once I reached the road, I followed it to the nearest town. I didn't find any vehicles, along the way, so it took me another 25 minutes to make it there. As I arrive in the town, I saw all the buildings had their doors opened already, so I knew players had already been there. Didn't find any meaningful loot besides an apple and energy drink. I saw my fluid and food meter was around 50% so i decided to eat my apple and chug the drink I found. My character puked his guts out for 10 seconds. Makes sense. I did just chugged what looked like a full liter of sprite without taking a breath. 45 minutes in I'm done checking the town, no backpacks, guns, any change of clothes. Just some bolts and food.

I check the server and saw there was 65 other people on the same server. Where were they? Was I ever going to meet them? 55 minutes in I became depressed i just bought a game where i literally wandered aimlessly and made 0 progress after an hour of playtime. If i was playing Rust, i would've at least had a foundation for a base built within 30 minutes. Sure in Rust I might have a bunch of jackass psychopaths trying to steal my stone, but at least those pieces of ♥♥♥♥ are making the game interesting.

Scum has so much potential. The game has deep RPG mechanics that I've never seen in any other game besides maybe Tarkov. The problem I have is that, it's just another game where I have to devote an INSANE amount of playtime to 'git any gud' or have any fun for that matter. One full hour I spent on Scum island, I didn't hear any gunshots, no explosions, no cars driving by, on a completely full server with around 70 people playing. Scum island is simply too big to only have a handful of people roaming around. I wont keep playing it. Its already refunded. I understand people like this game, I just don't understand why. How long can you play Scum before encountering another real human being?

Was my favorite game back in 2010, 11 years later its still my favorite RPG
