This game has seemed to capture my attention in a very different way than most games. I can only describe the treks that you will make to make deliveries as engaging and challenging. I never thought that so much walking and travelling could be as exciting and engaging as it is in this game. I consistently find myself captured by the world and the story behind it. Its very different than any other game that I have tried but in a good way.

I find myself wanting for those areas in the game when the soundtrack comes on while you are walking amidst a scenic background. The soundtrack seems to exactly fit the weird sci-fi nature of the game. The game looks and plays amazing on PC, especially if you can play at max settings at a high resolution.

There are sometimes where I felt like I was walking too much or the movement felt clunky, but those were few and far in between. This is a very different type of game and I think that some people will be put off by it, but I feel like most people will find it extremely rewarding and satisfying to play. I feel like it can get a bit repetitive in the later game, but if you can get past that its still quite a fun game.

By far my favorite VR game. Very fluid and extremely rewarding when you get everything right. Be prepared for your arms to hate you.

Runs "ok" with GTX 1080 SLI and an i7 6900k. You should not need this kind of hardwareto get a reasonable framerate. I didnt pay that much for my PC to get mediocre performace. I expect the best from developers. I really wish developers would start actually releasing good PC ports.

From what I have played so far the gameplay is decent but you can barely even play the game without being distracted by either inexplicably poor framerate, terrible mouse aim, or some other stupid issue. I did expereince an issue where I could not run the game at 4k without it freezing. It might just be me though.

Definitely wait until they fix the game to even think about picking this one up.

Edit: The recent patch has done nothing. I get the same framerate on Medium quality settings as on Low quality. They really need to fix this game.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to here. I never followed any of the hype for No Man's Sky, and yet it still managed to disappoint me.

After 2 hours of gameplay it felt like I was playing an empty shell of a game. There could easily be so much more: better inventory management, better crafting, actual mining (like caving and sculpting the terrain), other vehicles besides ships (like rovers), more alien presence. Everything just had that clunky feel to me (not to mention the bad performace, I had skips and stutters using GTX 1080 SLI). Everything just felt so empty to me when I played, no incentive to explore any more after seeing a few planets. Even after exploring just a few of the "?" icons on the scanner, I felt as if I had seen them all. I just wished that there was much more to the game.

If you are looking for a better game that has a similar concept, I would look at Starbound (although it isnt perfect either :( ).
