Phenomenal story, great voice acting, intuitive gameplay, incredible depth. This game pushes the RPG genre to new heights.

Perfect little idle game inspired by the RS universe! I bought it on a sale for a phenomenal value during a time where I was moving and didn't have access to my main PC build. It's an ideal game to have running on my laptop as I work, and then hand off to my phone. Oh and if you buy it through Steam first, you get the mobile versions for free too!

A great rougelite and RPG. The builds you create on each run feel unique and varied. You carry on more progression than in your typical rougelite from run to run, this also makes shorter runs still meaningful. The story, atmosphere, gameplay and soundtrack are phenomenal and all aspects have incredible attention to detail.

It's the best VR rhytm game I have played so far. The best polish, concept and ease of use. Easy to learn, hard to master. The custom songs give this game near infinite replay value, and the mods add a ton of extra content and features as well.

Update: Since the buyout the game has become increasingly hostile to mods, every update breaks them for no reason and it's tiresome manually keeping the game from updating. Thankfully, better and more polished VR rhythm games exist now.

The demo had the best use of teleportation of any games when it came out, and even though a lot of quality games came out since then; the same holds true of the full release years later.

I have gotten immersed in other VR games, but there is something about the way that Budget Cuts' controls are implemented that makes me get completely sucked in to the point where I don't know which way I'm facing in the real world.

Also since the demo, the 3D spatial sound that has been implemented is amazing. There's a part during the introduction of the game with a phone, and you can hear a dial tone coming from it. As you move it around in space, you can pinpoint it's location by just listening for it. I even tested to make sure it didn't help to see where the phone was by having my SO point with her hand where she thought the tone was coming from while I held the controller holding the phone behind her head.

The controls are intuitive as well, being able to "click" attachments on and off your base wand just makes sense, and allows for both quick learning, and quick switching between them.

In a market where 7 year old games are given a VR port and sold for $60; a brand new, polished, built from scratch game that costs half that amount is an amazing value. Of course, the trade off is that that the length of this game is much shorter. All things considered though, it's obvious this is a top quality game made with lots of love, effort and passion and I find it well worth my money.

P.S. Extra kudos for implementing a help tool that has you interact with the world to get hints.

Drew inspiration from the greatest games in this genre and became the best. Highly recommended.

Review updated to add that 4 years later and the dev has added a ton of content into the game with the same polish as the base game. Excited for their next offering.

This game is the best modern version of a city builder. If you're looking for a modern version of SimCity 4, this is it.

Bioshock does so many things right. Its storyline is amazing, and the way its told through its environment and the interactions you have with it are what makes it shine even brighter. Its artstyle and sound design only add to it. It's one of the prime examples of video game art.
