Jagex (The creators of OldSchool RuneScape) have recently sent out a survey to some players proposing some changes to the way that they do membership.
Whilst some of these are good ideas (Such as a Mobile only subscription tier for a cheaper price) the majority of them are features the community have been asking to be implemented for well over a decade, but you would only get access to them if you pay more per month.

Personally, RuneScape is the only game that I purchase a monthly membership on, and at it's current price is fair for what you get, but charging more for features that are baked into other MMORPG's base membership prices is an absolute joke.

If you've been anywhere on the internet recently, it's fairly obvious that I'm not the only one who shares these opinions, and I have personally cancelled membership on both of my accounts with a combined playtime of almost 15,000 hours since 2007, just because of the shear audacity that Jagex and their parent company CVC Capital Partners have to even think that charging £25 per month for what some people may class as basic features is acceptable.

As of right now, please don't play this game, as much as I love it and want everyone I know to play it, we need to send a message to Jagex that this behaviour is unacceptable.

For those players who do play and stumble across this review: Please don't hate on the JMods who actually work on the game and we interact with on social media, they've done nothing to deserve the hate. It's the higher ups that we don't know exist who are calling these shots.
