Trying to play with friends is like trying to navigate your way out of a crawlspace maze in complete darkness with nothing but a glow-in-the-dark keychain. Once you get through you know the way, but my goodness, it did not need to be this complicated. And why the microtransaction vouchers just to edit your char? Didn't have that garbage in MHW. Then again I guess they must need the cash because apparently they couldn't afford to pay someone to smooth out the UI/UX side of things.

1st release of arena quests is not promising. Exclusive pendants to the top 10k with no anti-cheat system so highest kill times are all under 10s BC people are using the 1-shot kill cheat mod.

It's like they actively tried to make it terrible. Overall just really poor game execution. The only thing I can recommend for this game is the generic MH formula which is still fun.

Addicting gameplay with a very satisfying KO (which in multiplayer can be shared and not stolen which is a huge plus IMO), plus amazing music with attention given to small details that liven up the world (like the interactable memorial at base).

I do have a bone to pick with certain game mechanics though, like keeping track of where you are in the combo (differs between weapons). There's not a clear feedback from the game for where you are in the combo, so it's easy to miss the window by queued input. It's not too bad and you can get a feel for it easily enough, but detracts from the fun and is just annoying in the middle of a rainbow of bullet hell and death.

Eh... Not half as interesting or hot as you'd think.

Has potential but feels a bit bare bones as it is. Was looking for something functional, gamified, and has all the study tools in one place, and most importantly, actually lets you focus instead of demanding your attention.

Props for not tethering the player and being actually AFK, BUT it has issues in terms of both functionality and game aspects. The interface is rigid and you can't customize it as much as you would like (e.g. time display size/location, timer style, no built in alarm/reminders that you can set, etc.), and despite advertising the quality of being cozy and customizing the space to suit you, the cosmetic/color options (player appearance, room, decor, clothes, accessories, spirits) are very limited. Also would really would like an option to set your timezone and have it reflect the hours in game. Having to manually change it between morning/night is disruptive. For a game that's meant to be cozy, the entirety of it was mildly unsatisfying. There's also really not that many spirits to discover which was a bit disappointing.

I'll still use it, but it's okay at best as it lacks a lot of tools and interface options. Maybe with some feature and content updates that provide more expansive tools/customization for interface, cosmetics, and spirits, it'll be worth it.

Love the game and still want to complete it, but no save points/long levels + motion sickness is a terrible combo.

Gameplay is fun, story was okay I guess.

Would be 10/10 if you could punch the book at least once.

Epic Games buying Fall Guys and making it so that you have to have an EG account to play was the final nail in the coffin.

This game was a lot of fun for the good-natured goofiness of just running around and being silly little beans. But as a collector, the crown-exclusives took away that kind of enjoyment and instead of motivating me to play more, had me clock in less. Having to place 1st and within a season's period of limited availability made it a lot less enticing to play. Devs could've easily fixed this by just making crown exclusive items exchangeable for a large amount of points, but they didn't. Having to compete with more than fun in mind and was a huge turn-off from continuing to play the game. If this was meant to keep people playing, well it didn't. Could've easily done the same thing and kept more casual players with the point implementation. There would also be a lot less trolling and in the earlier days, cheating, if crowns weren't such a highly valued currency.
